25 years ago your father climbed the mountain and never came back.

Now he’s calling for you.

Broken Spectre is a cosmic horror narrative game developed in collaboration with one of the makers of The Blair Witch Project.

A cryptic message left by her father takes Casey back to the abandoned trails of Coldblood Mountain, a remote wilderness that has haunted her family for generations.

A terrifying power stalks the mountain, watching Casey’s every move.
Can Casey find her father using the clues he left behind?
Or will something else find her first?

Unique Cosmic Horror Narrative
Produced by one of the creators of The Blair Witch Project – a landmark of the found-footage horror genre - Broken Spectre is an original cosmic horror experience inspired by the works of John Carpenter and H.P. Lovecraft.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/JS2FS3MZ3X8 This is bar-none the best hand-tracking experience in VR. It's also one of the best walking simulators in VR. The biggest criticism I have of the game is that it's not very long. It took me about 98 minutes to complete the game. However, it's a well-told and well-paced cosmic horror / body horror narrative-driven experience. What makes this game special is the very smart use of hand-tracking. WARNING: I believe hand-tracking only works on the Meta Quest 3. I can only confirm it works using link cable. The hand-tracking here is not a gimmick, but an essential part of the story and gameplay that further immerses into the narrative. The other criticism I have of the game is that the snap turning with the thumb pointing left or right is rather cumbersome, because the degree of turn is so small. Other than that though, the hand-tracking interactions are mostly very i...

7/10 Very Linear, An Hour and a half length novel story telling. it builds up nicely to a 'gripping' climax ... then a cliffhanger ending ... the Good, Nice voice over, plain but clean graphics & BGM. the Bad, its seems to be a straight meta Quest Port with no extra PC options, Just wished it had, Super Sampling options. the Ugly, using Quest 3, the VD streamer, Steam link just doesn't work. have to use 'Air Link', and then still can't get 'hand motion' working. but as it's a gimmick hand gesture, sticking with controller works well. Overall, nice and short, a weekend movie. worth it at sale.
