A neat little Columns-esque falling block / match-3 game with cute graph paper aesthetics, and a unique "3D" mechanic that gives you a new playing field in front of your last one when you top out - you can make matches with blocks behind. A few suggestions: - More distinct colours at higher levels (I'm not colour blind AFAIK but I couldn't distinguish between the two shades of green or the two shades of red unless they were right beside each other) - Add a hard-drop / fast-drop key - Inputs are sometimes missed at faster speeds

About the Game
Papertris is an interesting and fun arcade puzzle game in which colored cubes dissolve in all 6 possible directions and you decide where to place your cubes. In addition, there are also power cubes and numerous possible combinations in a classic but modern and lovingly hand-painted game.
- The Challenge mode is tricky with various tasks where the player has to solve suitable tasks in order to get to the next level, which are more difficult at each level
- In the Endless mode, which gets faster and more difficult from level to level, you can score points as long as you can
- The 2 player VS mode demands tactical skill in which players can use numerous combos to send each other blocking cubes to block the opponent's options
- Combinations of the cubes in all 6 directions
- Atmospheric music
- Icon option for color blind people
- Dark mode
- Full Controller support

The game itself was designed with a lot of fun and inventiveness with my kids (4y & 2y) and the majority of the game was hand-painted by them, which thus has a beautiful and playful charm.
We really had a lot of fun creating and collecting ideas for the game and hope to inspire you as much as we do.

This is amazing! Congrats to the dev for keeping something like Tetris fresh after all these decades. Highly recommend! --- One recommendation to the devs, as a red/green colorblind person, please add accessibility features like a symbol for each cube color so that higher levels are playable by people like myself. Once there were green, yellow, orange, and red paper around level 24 on endless I was unable to keep track of matching blocks anymore :(
This is a really cute and relaxing block drop game and I'm glad I found this hidden gem! What is it?: Tetris-like in some ways, Puzzle Fighter or Puzzle Pirates Sword-fighting in others - single strands of 3 blocks (different mixes of colors within each strand) will fall, and you can move the strand from side to side or mix up the color order of the 3 pieces within the strand before it hits the bottom. If you match 3, you win. I like the 3D feature of it - when you reach the red line at the top, you'll move into the 3D row in FRONT of your board (but can still match with blocks in the stacks behind). Pros: The gameplay is a bit hypnotic and the music is fun, graphics are very very cute - I love seeing the paper blocks fall! Again, love the 3D play feature. It also worked well with my controller. Edit 3/4/22: Devs responded to my comments within 6 hours! So add "community responsive" to the pro list Cons: The game favors casual play right now - in endless mode, it took me until level ...
Interesting Concept.
When I first started playing the game felt way too easy and I could just place stuff anywhere... But then after playing for a bit the difficulty and pace starts increasing and it becomes so engaging! Especially the 3D aspect of it gives you a whole new perspective on tetris! Cool thing is after you reach higher levels, you can then start new games at higher levels, to skip that slow pace if you want. Really fun little game, definitely worth the ~$3
Very polished and well-made game, takes the oldest game known to man and still manages to bring something new to it, also in this price range it's quite baffling how polished it actually is. You can tell a lot of time and love went into this game! Recommend if you are the type of person who likes to kill time with games like Tetris and Candy Crush. I'm guessing (but haven't tested) that this is PERFECT for the Deck as well as the Nintendo Switch. Some nitpicks for the devs that could make this game even better: * Input on PC can be a bit confusing at times. One thing sticks out more than the rest: The fact that up is used to quickplace really throws me off, as up is used to rotate in OG tetris. Finding the new-style rotate buttons (especially when playing with arrows initially) had me a bit confused and made me consult the manual. At first I didn't think blocks could even be rotated. I think some UX work could be well invested time to make things like this more clear. * Very high c...
Just want to apologise first if I come off as harsh, but I'd thought I would drop a review For some background in this review: I do enjoy Tetris, in fact I make it a point to play TetrisxPuyo with everyone who visits my house. I might be a bit competitive in that regard Now for the review part: + I do like the aesthetic, it's cute and all, especially with what's going on with the sides of the screen - Controls? There's instructions on how to play, but playing on a keyboard, aside from the obvious (using arrow keys) I don't know if there was any other buttons I could press, like rotation for example. I didn't even know how to pause the game until I accidentally clicked the space bar. Maybe have the controls on the screen as the game is going or something - The levels are uninteresting. My experience is probably hindered that I might be missing controls, but there isn't really anything going. Just break X cubes of a color, but given the fact I don't know how to rotate the cubes or su...
