About This Game

The Jean-Paul Software Screen Explosion! is here to bring stunning generative art to your desktop! Pack 'Mystify' and 'Bubbles' away forever and get your computer showing you something truly special, with this collection of eleven modern, multi-monitor, customisable, 3D screensavers.

One screen good, four screens great

If you've got multiple monitors, use the accompanying settings tool and test card to calibrate them with their physical position and size, giving the impression of a single giant screen. If that's not to your taste, there's options for displaying on a single screen, or mirroring the output to each.

And don't worry- if you've only got one screen, that'll work just as well. Profiles are generated for each combination of screens you connect, so when you add or remove them the software will adapt.

And that's not all

  • Incredible fish simulation!
  • Mind-bending fun with LIDAR!
  • Hypnotic suggestion of family members and co-workers!
  • Hallowe'en and Christmas screensavers!
  • PYLONS OF THE WORLD!

  • Steam Workshop support!
  • Steam Achievements!
  • Impress your guests with PARTY MODE!
  • Free updates, forever!
  • Digital art without any of that NFT rubbish!
  • and much, much more!

Whether you've got one monitor or five, the JEAN-PAUL SOFTWARE SCREEN EXPLOSION! will blow a hole right through your desk and into your heart.

This screen saver is great, finally something that makes sense of my multiple monitors. I particularly love the pylons screen saver. I am the envy of my friends. Jk, I have no friends.

I didn't know how much I missed screensavers until I started using this. Wonderful variety, extensive customization, multi-monitor support, this has it all. Well worth the price.

Sort of a customisable art-tool, like a less-interactive Dear Esther. Staring simulators, perhaps. These are really great, serene models. hope to see some DLC of classic playground roundabout designs, because those can make really hypnotic geometric patterns as they rotate.

The JPSSE has brought me back into the screensaver fold, works perfectly across dual monitors, and I'm often staring slack-jawed at shoals of fish whenever it turns on. Highly recommended.

I love this game. I play it all the time... I think. I mean I have like hundreds of hours in it already, so I must have, right? Just... I have no recollection of ever playing it and now I question my sanity. Who do I trust, Steam's analytics or my own mind. Why can't I remember playing this? I don't even have subconscious memory of the control scheme, it's like every time I move my mouse or press a button the hope at recalling the experience falls further from me... Am I even alive? Do I exist? Maybe I am losing my mind. I have been pretty stressed lately, what with the farm failing and mother's gout. If only I could hang on to my sanity a few more years... I do like the fish tho, 5/5.

i always wondered what happened to screen savers. i had to dig deep in windows to even find that funny little window full of crap that didnt do anything but would often find ways of popping up when least wanted, freezing up my poor 486 and basically forcing me to deactivate it out of pure habit on every fresh install of every operating system i ever had after that point. to heck with screen savers, just put the screen to sleep. well eventually that didnt work very well either. blah blah friggin blah. weve all been there. but you know i freakin missed watching my computer blast as much graphical nonsense at me as it could just to know that my computer could really powerhouse some stuff if needed. fast forward to buying a gpu, downloading steam and then wondering what to do next. what was the first thing i wanted to do with my 4 monitor setup, 8gb of video ram and all the latest fixins that the computer gods sell at the computer store for me to destroy? FRIGGIN SCREEN SAVERS. so the firs...

As a fiend for screensavers, I can say that this pack is worth the money. Like the amount of customization that I can have with certain screensavers and the option for workshop support for 2 screensavers is very nice. While there is support for multiple monitors, my 2 monitor setup isn't ideal for it but I can see it working awesome for 3 monitor setups if you have those. I hope this does well enough to see more screensavers or customization options added in future because I think the world always needs more screensavers. Edit: Also my hours seem real tiny, but trust me these screensavers are on when I am away from my computer.

A whimsical set of simulations and animations, and a reason to start using a screensaver again. I have it set to random, so if I nip off for a cuppa and come back it's always a nice wee surprise.
