I didn't think I would enjoy this game, solely for the fact that I've never properly enjoyed a soulslike. They're just not my style and I'ved lacked the motivation to ever finish one. But, turns out -- playing robot Timothy Chalamet in a dystopian dieselpunk Belle Epoque version of Pinocchio was exactly the motivation I needed. Cuz I ate this shit UP. I'm OBSESSED. Catch me wandering around the map straight GOONING. Hellooooooo. The environments, the music, the gear, the bosses, the sheer variety of extremely well-designed basic enemies! The story and lore ended up going far deeper than I had expected. I love a sad, dark, twisted, tragic tale. IMPORTANT: If you avoid soulslikes because they're not accessible to you, this game features both easy mode and story mode. You won't find any accessibility features besides large subtitles. However, story bosses have clear visual and sound cues for big attacks, and highlighted circles for you to stand on to deliver fatal attacks. You can also ...

As a Dark Souls enthusiast, I highly recommend this masterpiece. Probably the best Souls game you will ever play. Amazing story, outstanding DLC (Overture) and very nice combat. The music should have won the best score of the year it came out. Can't wait for Lies of P 2.
Thank you! Thank you for this awesome experience! Lies of P has become my favourtie game of all time without me even knowing it. From the gamplay mechanics to the story, everything was absolutely perfect. You have not only developed a game to remember, but you created a world so heart wrenching and mesmerizing that the only critique I can think of is that there is not enough of it. I already fell in love with the base game and was immediately hooked by the Sekiro like gameplay mechanics, which in my opinion you improved on a lot! Then there are all these NPC's giving us a glimpse of their past, which further intrigues us in the story of this beautiful world. It makes us wonder, what exactly happend and how it affected everyone we meet along our way to solve the mystery. And, as a musician myself, I have to emphasize on the brilliant work you did on not only the records which can be found scattered through the world, but also the boss music and game themes! Especially the main theme of...
The game is great, story is amazing would recomend to play with a couple mods for quality of life changes but worth the money for the base game and dlc.
This game is honestly the best Soulslike there is—and most probably ever will be. It has everything you expect from a Souls game. The combat feels incredibly crisp and smooth, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing, and the lore was something I wasn't expecting from this game—but wow, did it deliver. Lies of P will always hold a special place in my heart—not because it was hard, but because this is exactly what future Soulslikes should aspire to be. And yes, the actual final boss was the cherry on top. I won’t spoil anything, but that was easily the best fight in the game.
peak soulslike game tbh. with the DLC they've taken the art design to another level. i didn't get bored even while doing NG+ run for 100% trophy. thanks to neowiz!
Hands down, one of the best games I've ever played, and the DLC managed to make it even better. It's perfection.
Technically this game is a 100% positive rated game. Because the positive reviews are just people who like the game and the negative reviews are the people REALLY REALLY like the game to the point where they reference the game by lying to you that they don't like it. Because you know it's called "Lies of P".
Oh man, I'll try to find words to describe this work of art - it's going to be hard, but I'll try my best. This game was such an emotional journey and I feel empty now that it's over. Beautiful all around - amazing music, great sound design that makes you feel your attacks, pretty visuals and deep and moving story of a puppet becoming a human (based loosely on Carlo Collodi's "The Adventures of Pinocchio"). Never thought a souls-like game will make me care and worry about the characters - there is so much soul behind each of them (also want to point out amazing voice actors work). I also want to mention the last areas - both in the base game and the DLC - actually made me shed some tears.... The only thing that I disliked in the game - it's too hard to nail perfect parry (maybe be a "skill issue" since I'm not that young anymore). DLC especially suffers from this because dodging becomes useless in most of the parts since enemies have quick and long combo attacks. But you can a...
Great game with spectacular DLC. It's a complete and joyful journey through the dark world of Krat, inspired by the tale of Pinocchio. Overall, it was a great gaming experience. The art style, story, and combat system are all superb. I really like the puppet theme and the protagonist (who looks a bit like my favourite Timothée Chalamet). If you love parrying, Lies of P is a real treat for you. It is also great for a first souls-like experience — there are different difficulty settings and a lot of QoL features that are not present in Dark Souls games.
