About This Game

Storyteller lets you build stories using a visual language. The goal on each level is to make a story that fits the given title by placing settings and characters that react to each other, creating a narrative through their relationships.

Storyteller's comic-panel design and charming animations allow for experimentation within the framing of its many stories: just drag and drop characters to see how the story plays out!

Play with a library full of characters and themes, heroes and villains, dragons and vampires, infidelity and revenge, love, lies, madness, and more! Use the blank canvas to manipulate secrets and desires, slay monsters or terrorize people with them, betray lovers or bring them together. You know how the stories go — but this time you are the author.
DO NOT GET THIS GAME AT FULL PRICE!
This game prompted me to write my very first steam review. Usually when I don't click with a game, I let it go, telling myself it's simply not for me and not worth getting worked up for, but with this game I simply feel ripped off! The game in on itself is a fine puzzle game, with cute and charming visuals which drove me to try it out in the first place. Nothing special in that aspect but also nothing revolutionary. However, it is very short, too short to justify the price and lacks content, it's not worth it and I can't wholeheartedly recommend it. I spent 14€ on this game and 100% completed it in only 2,5 hours. By the end I was left asking myself "Is that it?" If only I was half an hour faster, then I could've refunded it, but now it's just a useless game that sits in my steam library indefinitely that I will never play again. I shouldn't have been influenced by content creators to try this out as I am deeply disappointed ...

Wish i could leave a mixed review because.. well... I like this game alot! I love how cute the art is and that theres an ability to be queer, however... YOU CAN GET IT FOR FREE IF YOU HAVE A NETFLIX ACCOUNT. In all honesty, it is NOT worth the money. I finished this game within less than an hour.. siiigh. annoying...

Recommended for a nice short puzzle-esque game with some charm. I would definitely wait for a sale as the price tag does not match the amount of actual gameplay (about ~2 hours).

Cutesy puzzle game. Can be quite cryptic at times. It's a nice idea, and I liked the way you were manipulating the state in the story to achieve the desired outcome, but I felt the main idea of the game is rather undeveloped and that the game didn't strike it's full potential. There were a lot of scenarios and situations that were implied but left unused. Then again, it might be in all of the optional stamp stuff I avoided. Most of the presented puzzles were rather trivial and straight-forward, perhaps teaching you each scenario theme, before a more cryptic one appears and then it's gone, onto the next theme, so it all felt a bit repetitive. Yes, it's pricey for it's time / content, but I got it on sale or in a bundle or something so I don't care. Ideally there would be some kind of workshop or DLC packs for this.

I 100%ed this game. It only took me 2 and a half hours. It's simple, cute, and it's clear there's been a lot of effort put into its development. However, I would recommend buying this when it's on sale. It's very short and many of the puzzles are very easy. Much of the game feels like a tutorial. It never really feels like the game truly starts, as many of the mechanics are contained in singular chapters that continuously introduce new things. It leaves the game feeling more like a mechanic demo than an actual game. As much as I hate to say it because the game is well made and there's clearly been a lot of effort put into it, I do not believe this game is worth $15. I feel like it's too lacking in actual content to charge that amount. I did enjoy it and it was a good game, I just recommend waiting for a sale and I wish I had done that.

As others have said, the entire "game" can be completed between 2-5 hours, including all achievements, and then can be promptly uninstalled. Some of the puzzles are somewhat intuitive, but a majority of the puzzles follow the same or similar "story" with its solutions with little variance. Once you complete the first few puzzles in a generic but relatively obvious way, you repeat the same solutions with little variance throughout the entire time you play (plus or minus a single character or scene each time). While a neat concept, this game is far from worth its price. Even at a discount, the game is more expensive than most mobile games while having absolutely no replayability or further content once completed, and once completed, you never have a reason to play again unless something somehow gets added in the future. For the same price or less, a well-made mobile game can provide more entertainment for a much longer time. You can buy a discounted AAA game or same-cost indie game for...

My ships: Lenora x Isobel Friedrich x Eve (he killed the god to avenger her, ultimate male) Knight x Queen (King was cheating with the maid my queen + knight is hotter and the most loyal) Bernard x Isobel (lowkey shipped them because they'd be badass ww and the wicked poison woman ehe) Witch x myself (magic-she is so hot) Witch x Baron (would also be a power couple) Butler x Detective (enemies to lovers potential is insane) Devil x Duchess (ehm HEAR ME OUT) Bonuses: I also feel like Edgar x Adam would be a chill cute gay couple but idk Baron x Knight could be something intense like a toxic yaoi, they both have their own ambitions/goals and they are just fbs kind of thing idk idk idk Devil x Isobel (He'd be the devil but she could make him surprise him with her wickedness kinda thing)

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy it at all. Played for 15 minutes and instead of having fun, felt completely annoyed because I couldn't get "the right answer" and move forward. Definitely not allowing any creativity, you need to match the creator's idea. I've turned it off and asked for the refund immediately.
