After some time and consideration, I decided to make my purchase of this abomination. Waiting years to finally spend $10 to only realize that I probably injected malware into my system for no source of happiness to filling my empty void of Avatar The Last Airbender. Rated 10/10 would never do this again.

This is not the worst game in the history of the planet, as some might want you to believe. It definitely does leave a lot to be desired in many ways, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy it at all. The biggest problem the game has is its price tag, pure and simple. I got this game at 80% off, and for 10 bucks, this is a great deal. In no world, however, it is worth 50. I don't blame the devs, I blame the publisher and the marketing for burdening the game with an unreachable amount of expectations that is attached to a price tag like this. I feel like the game's reception would've been A LOT better were it priced like a cute little puzzle game (which it is) and not a triple AAA title (which it definitely isn't). I think this game has heart, and makes an honest effort at being a fun, light hearted puzzle game. The part I arguably enjoyed the most was the gorgeous storyboard-esque, lightly animated cartoon cut scenes, but in terms of worldbuilding they managed to create a few ...
THIS GAME IS A DISGRACE TO THE RICH LEGEND OF AANG. "Quest for Balance" or should it be "Test of Patience" takes everything you loved about Avatar and dunks it into a pit of mediocrity. The intro alone feels like a funeral for your childhood, drained of all life and charm. Combat is a joke. Each character has a pathetically small set of moves, and your secondary action cooldown is so long at first that bending feels like waiting for GTA 6 to release. Enemies don’t react when you hit them mid-attack, they just smack you anyway, while ignoring your entire party to hunt you down like you owe them money. The camera fights you harder than any boss. Animations tiptoe on the edge of ridiculous. Sidequests feel like chores designed by someone who hates fun. The story leaps across key events like it’s skipping chapters, while voice acting barely exists—just scattered words thrown into the void. Boss duels redefine stupidity[/...
i went into this game with high hopes... to say i'm disappointed is a UNDERSTATEMENT!! was hoping there would be a last airbender game as good as the og avatar on ps2. i'm hoping to get my money back, i do not recommend at all unless your 10 and under.
I would rate Avatar: The Last Air Bender on Steam 2/5 stars. They didn't use the original voice actors. The game constantly pauses (restricts player movement) when interacting with a chest or changing to a different scene. And the camera is totally messed up, there's no freedom to it at all. There's invisible walls everywhere, stopping players from venturing out. It's interesting so far, but a total let-down compared to the TV show.
