A great game, overall! Lots of depth to the critters one encounters, a fun art style, and I could name my main character Spider, which, of course, I did. Unlike some other visual novels, the main character wasn't handed the idiot ball at any point, as best as I could tell, and the main plotline was interesting, with a last-minute twist that fit the setting and managed to subvert a few expectations. The use of signal degradation and chat weirdness in the presence of supernatural entities was generally fun and well-executed. My biggest criticism is that the scroll wheel of one's mouse both scrolls through the right-hand chat section, and advances the dialog, which makes it hard to look at what is going on in one's stream chat. Currently a mite short for the price; to get your full money's worth, it might be best to wait for the full release. (Or, of course, get it when it's a dollar or two off!) However, what is there was definitely well-written and well thought out.

About This Game
Overview:
ScreamCap is a rising team of paranormal investigators live streaming their dives into the unknown to their audience of believers. Usually, things are pretty tame, but something strange has begun stalking one of their own and in order to rid themselves of it they must follow a trail of strange clues, talk to some ghosts (or chemtrails, depending on who you ask), and maybe just get to know each other a little better.
Characters:
- Charlie is our host with the most! He's a cryptozoologist who loves long walks on the beach and is NOT afraid to punch the Jersey Devil, again.
- Morgan is our co-star and resident psychic. When she's not bending spoons with her mind or communing with the recently deceased, she likes to meditate on life and love.
- Scout is our producer and tech geek extraordinaire. She carries a bat to keep the show running. You should be mindful of that.
- Raz is tonight’s client! He’s a bit nervous since his house started being haunted or whatever.
Features:
- A choice-based visual novel with a wholly original world and 2D art style.
- Unique Chat Window displays the in-game audience’s reactions to your choices and decisions.
- Multiple, cool and kooky companions to solve mysteries and find romance with.
- A variety of spooky locales to search and creepy supernatural entities to encounter.

User Reviews
So I loved the concepts in this game and the characters especially, but the story and execution quickly ruined it. The characters were diverse and nuanced, and I honestly wanted to dig deeper with them. I have no complaints about them or the art style, which was excellent. The story was interesting, even when i guessed the twist quickly, and the first the of the game felt well done and cohesive through my run. However, that started to change by the second area, the end of which felt a little jumpy. it got worse in the third half, and became a serious problem in the finale. There were revelations that either I missed by choosing a different route or simply were not by the end I was confused as to explained clearly. I think part of this stems from the fact that you choose a companion to go into each chapter, and while I mixed and matched, maybe that was a mistake. It also felt like the last two areas were very brief, especially compared to the first two areas. Another area that didn't ...
WHOA! What a cool game, some may even say the best game! Cool characters in which to date, and cool ghosts in which to bust.
Very fun game!! I've only played through the game romancing Charlie so far but I really liked all the characters. The designs for the non humans were also super, super cool and i loved seeing them :o) It was also interesting seeing how the chat was reacting to everything going on, whether they were skeptics or fully on board!
This game deserves so much more recognition! I'm so obsessed with the characters and the surrounding world! Would love to see another game with the same characters, if possible.
I'm a big Scooby-Doo fan, so this game is right up my alley and I just LOVE Scout so much! ^_^ This game really deserves more attention and, hopefully, a sequel!
