I bought this game for myself and my partner, and when we got into actually playing it (separate computers and talking over discord about it.) They got less than 10 minutes in and I got 16 minutes, we requested a refund for both, but denied, since it was purchased more than 2 weeks ago. I was hoping that I could play this with my wired xbox controller, because it does state that it is fully compatible with it, come to find out that I cant move around, I cant select anything in the customization using it. Frustrating and highly disappointing. Refunded our games because we both agreed that this was not user friendly. Even if I was trying with my controller, and they were trying on the keyboard. Also to make note, I wish that the settings were accessible during the beginning, because it throws you into the customizing part as soon as you start the game. The volume was loud. We had to go through customizing and then we could hit ESC to mess with the settings. Otherwise cute looking game, ...

About This Game
"Bunhouse could prove to be the most wholesome game of 2021" - Destructoid

---------------------------
Bunhouse is a cute couch co-hop game focused on growing plants and managing a greenhouse with fellow buns.
Sometimes life is hectic. Sometimes we just need to take a breather and relax in a happy little world filled with bunnies. This is the core vision of Bunhouse – a game you can play solo or with your friends to relax and be happy. There is nothing to kill, no one to be better than, no quests or debt to pay off, just some plants that need watering and a greenhouse full of possibility.
Bunhouse can be enjoyed with up to four friends locally (on the same computer), provided you have at least one less controller than the number of people that want to play. For example, if you would like to play with three people, you'll need either three controllers, or two controllers and a keyboard. Bunhouse does not have native online multiplayer (and as a solo developer inexperienced in networking, it likely will not receive online multiplayer in the future). Still, online multiplayer is technically possible with Steam's Remote Play Together feature.
Important note: if you plan to buy this game so you can use Steam's Remote Play Together feature, the hosting computer may use keyboard or controllers, but the other connected computers will need to have controllers for it to work. This is a limitation of how Unreal Engine handles local play, and there is sadly nothing I can do to change it.
Thank you and have fun!

While I personally mostly enjoy this game, that does not mean it doesn't have it's faults. My overall feeling is very mixed. 1. I got the game for both my partner and myself not realizing that it was split screen co-op only. After messing around trying to get it to work we both gave up. I will say I am disappointed I wasted my money, and unable to get a refund on steam for his game. 2. The controls for the game are not the best, while it does recommend playing with a controller I don't think it would improve the experience that much. While it is totally playable the controls are slow and hard to aim. 3. The game doesn't really tell you how to progress. After spending about 15 hours in game I was stuck on how to progress with only about half of the plants unlocked. I would just give up if I wasn't so stubborn to get all of the achievements. 4. The pacing is very slow, which can be relaxing and you can do as much or as little as you want. After unlocking the sprinklers and fertilizers...
My partner and I play this game together as a chill little mess around and garden together. The customization and level of flower choices are great pluses. I like that you’re the only players in the world and working together to do a gardening tasks. My biggest gripes is how long it takes to get to 100k for carrots, we moved to using the cheat code because it felt like no matter how much we did, the golden carrot has eluded us. Not to mention the hidden achievement that means we have to start all over again if we want to 100% the game (we’re sitting at 22/25 achievements because of the golden carrot and the hidden achievement). I’d love a Bunhouse 2 that isn’t a cooking sim, Cinnabunny looks great and fun but I hate cooking so much. I’ll be watching to see if this dev does any more bunny central stuff. :)
