Actually a really slick John Wick style shooter. Does a good job making you feel like John Wick. It's got all the Max Payne slow mo dives combined with Gun-fu. If anyone played the Max Payne Kung-Fu mod it's a bit like that. Love the original top down view the game has they also added a 3rd person mode. Top down view also reminds me a little of Hotline Miami. Loving it. Great casual pick up and play then put down game. Good checkpoint system. I recommend a little bit of rebinding to suit your needs; grab is so important but is all the way on "g" and needs to be held; would rather have this on "e" I also found a little sneaky hack of having counter / grab / finisher all on the same key bind so it works more like a context button and it works pretty flawessly. I bought this game at discount so I recommend the same. But there is enough quality and fun here to justify 20 bucks.

Suit for Hire is pure action from start to finish. After 203 hours it still feels like a John Wick simulator with fast stylish and insanely satisfying combat. The gameplay flows smoothly especially in top down view with every move feeling like part of a choreographed fight scene There is no story at all and I wish there was more content or something to do with the cash earned in game but if you want nonstop stylish gun fu without distractions this is it 9 out of 10 for action lovers

Wish there had been a demo so I didn't have to request a refund. The game looks like a ton of fun in the videos, but I just didn't enjoy the clunky feel, mandatory perfection, and two hits to death with some ridiculously long early game checkpoints. I can genuinely see why people like it, but it quickly devolved into a bullet time sniper turret simulator with no challenge or so many enemies around me that I die before I realized I've taken damage. No middle ground. Some more natural tutorialization and slower ease into difficulty would have gone a long way too instead of a massive info dump and then being expected to use your whole kit before you have a grasp of it.

Not gonna lie, I originally passed on this because I wasn't interested in the top-down viewpoint that the game originally had. Adding a fully functional third person camera that you could seamlessly switch to and from as of the 1.0 release really changed my view (heh) of the game. Suit for Hire is now easily one of the best John Wick experiences I've had the pleasure of playing period. 10/10. Honestly, the only thing that the game needs is a workshop for custom maps and some more unlockable cosmetic options. Don't get me wrong, there's a surprising amount of content available as-is for the price, but having player-generated content would extend the game's value even further.

Fun game, it pretty much is what is promised on the tin: The style of John Wick with the gameplay loop of Hotline Miami (minus the story). As for the current state of the game, i'd say the two biggest issues are a) Performance: It's not terrible, but it could be much better given the game's graphics. b) Levels/Campaigns become progressively more barebones as you progress, in the second half of the game the levels feel like concepts/prototypes. Still, I'd say at the current price the game is a good purchase, even if it stays in its current state.

I wanna like it, seems like a lot of effort went into this for gunplay but everything just feels kinda like a flash game. The smartphone ad sounding music and the bland enemies put me off. Didnt play so long, watched a few videos, but it feels like rinse and repeat gameplay. Its good but not 15 dollars good.

I like the idea, but this doesn't feel like a 1.0 release - it's clunky as hell. I love the idea, and if this was in Early Access in this state I would say hope for better, but the game feel is *very* mediocre, and so many of the assets feel unfinished. I understand this is an indie dev, but indie dev models can look good. I am honestly kinda disappointed, though hopefully they will do better with their next release. Music is banging, though.

Really fun 3rd person shooter (with top down as well, but I played that way), with fast gameplay and bullet time. You have 3 hits with armor and then you're down so you have to be quick, but the way you can move and the really fun weapons you can play with make it a good time. As well, the game is very well optimized which is impressive in this day and age.

Closest to a John Wick you can get. Has topdown mode like Hotline Miami or a third person mode where it plays out like a game straight out of John Wick movie franchise. It`s a score based shooter so racking up combos and kills in a row turns you into a real life assassin, that`s how you`ll feel` at least. Banger OST for this type of gameplay and a really simple but fun concept. You got 7 shots and a spare mag, finish a 7 kill combo and you get a free refill, but you can also find ammo and get a refill on every execution, so you can choose how you want to proceed.

I like it for the work the developer put in it, but I have a hard time enjoying it. Starting with the guns, I like the sound and feel of them, but only having one spare magazine at a time makes it almost frowned apon to use guns. When a basic grunt takes two headshots to take down, and there's 12 grunts, and I have 14 bullets MAX, there's almost no point in using a gun! There's also no aim down sights, so i can't properly lock on to a target that's further away. Then there's the gameplay. I found it's like a mobile game. It's not "everyone comes at you and you get to take cover, fight in close-quarters, and shoot everyone dead." It's "run from objective to objective, shoot everyone there, and keep running." It's literally something you'd find in the Google Play Store. As for sound effects, music, design, and everything else like that, it's fantastic. Take-downs and assassinations are fun! However, the gameplay itself is more tedious and conservative (like worrying about ammo all the...
