The crab He left the ocean Yes YES The crab is out 10/10!!!! Serious review below: Gameplay: VERY solid. Balanced mechanics with enough to do, and something new/different is introduced with each additional level, keeping it fresh til the end. Each additional level adds more difficulty but not such that its too hard to continue. Controls well, and you can easily re-check the controls at any given time through the pause menu. The UI and options feel quite robust and I was not left wanting whenever I looked for a particular setting (although you can expect it to be simple). Lots of QoL stuff in my opinion, like hints and dialogue boxes that you can opt out of. Sound effects were a little loud at times (the destruction of electric poles especially) but still decent. Destruction of the environment is easy and feels great. You can knock into buildings and they wobble, you can destroy other stuff by virtue of walking into it. You can throw boats and certain cars/trees (have not checked eve...

When you load up a game called Attack of the Giant Crab, you should have a pretty strong idea of what's in store, and, boy, does this one deliver. The crab is several stories tall, the dialogue is so on the nose the writer's cheek must have been made entirely out of tongue, and you can shoot crab lasers at mechanical chickens the size of high rises. All that ridiculousness does come with the expected level of jank though. The camera did not seem to want to cooperate, electing instead to focus on the crab's posterior most of the time, as it crawled about at a painfully slow rate. Even with plenty of speed powerups, I couldn't get into the scuttling groove I was hoping for, though the Realistic Crab Movement setting did force me to accept the 'sideways is forward' form of locomotion at least. It doesn't help that there's no soundtrack to ease those long, empty moments between city centers either. I may not be rushing back because of it, but no amount of design flaws would have ever s...

The camera may be a little screwy and the controls a little wonky but this game is still fun as hell if you ignore all that. Its short and you get it be a giant crab that mders stuff. Nothing more needs or can be said. ur I will say its a bit expensive for what essentially is a 30 minute game. So if you think its worth, go for it and just have fun with it. Its not ment to be taken seriously. ITS A GIANT ENEMY CRAB: https://youtu.be/B76OhQG3VQw

Bought this for less than a fiver, but already considering looking for a refund. Reminds me of the old Strike series of games, except with a giant crab instead of an attack helicopter. That's the positive, but you can see that in the preview shots. Otherwise: -[strike]Unchangeable Inverted Y axis[/strike] Option added, but Y axis still randomly switches back and forth between default inverted and standard -[strike]No *actual* exclusive fullscreen (mouse constantly leaves screen with multiple monitors)[/strike] -Limited graphics settings (single option, Low/Medium/etc. preset only) -Cannot adjust graphics settings in-game (only main menu) -No key rebinding with really awkward keybinds -Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank -So much jank -It's janky **Update: Dev already working on fixing issues outlined in this and other reviews, which is impressive, and offers some hope. Still would not recommend the game in its current state, certainly not at the non-sale price, but it's obviously being active...

Anyone complaining that this game is hard, jank, or difficult to control has some major skill issues. Completed the game + all achievements in 45 minutes, with the last achievement earned being the one for dying. The game's quite simple, but very satisfying. Also more than fair, with how many power-ups you're provided. My biggest complaint is that the default keys for the power-ups are P/L/H when they should be, like, Q/E/Z. You move with WASD, and you need mouse for camera, so you want these power-ups to be usable with the same hand as movement, which is currently awkward.

Cannot recommend, controls very poorly, needlessly hard and ugly. I have tried to play this many times but have yet to have fun. There are much better games in the genre.
