Simple enough to enjoy. Good for $1 game.

Mining Mechs is a retro-inspired mining simulator that captures the satisfaction of exploration, resource gathering, and gradual mechanical upgrades through a streamlined gameplay loop that’s easy to pick up and hard to put down. Set in a pixelated world that evokes the charm of classic Flash-era games, it puts you in the cockpit of a customizable mech designed to drill into the earth, collect valuable minerals, and build up your operation from modest beginnings to a sprawling, efficient mining empire. While the premise is straightforward, the execution is polished and packed with just enough nuance to keep things engaging over time. Each expedition underground begins with careful planning. You manage a limited inventory, dig through different layers of dirt and rock, and hunt for veins of precious ores. Fun little game, not much depth to it and and bordering on idle, however you are required to fulfil the loop of mine, sell, upgrade and repeat. I'd probably have more criticisms if it weren't so cheap, but for the price I can't really complain

Great idea, boring execution. Very much a "hold down S simulator". No sense of progress, and the thing you do most - mining - is slow & boring as all get out.
