20 hours at review time, taking it real slow, could get farther if you were direct. Doing quests to get villagers and making a lot of potions. No bugs, no issues with controller, very text dialog heavy so lots of reading, luckily the story and characters are great. Don't know/care about any early access drama or future updates. the game is what it is today. And it is cute pixel art, adorable interesting characters, fun story dialog, entertaining game play loop of gather, make potion. But yeah even I can tell where some things are just shortcuts - the vendor just standing in your yard made me laugh though. My main up/down is "is this worth the time and money?" and, yes, so far it completely is. Hope it stays this good throughout.

As you will see I don't even have 10 min of gameplay on the game. The reason being that it is purely implayable if you don't use QWERTY keyboard setup. I'm used to it because I'm French thus using AZERTY. The underlying issue is that the settings page is not accessible with the mouse, only via keyb AND there is NO remapping available once you get there. Shame, it's practically a mandatory function + not that hard to implement at that. I am simply not willing to invest more time in this game for now and I'm actually very disapointed because I crave more witchy games. I tried it in 2024, and I verified just now because the devs announced the full release in september. Note also that this is sold as an "early access" but the devs treat it as a "demo". Meh. I am not convinced, especially with all the drama surrounding the early access development so far since 2022. There are very detailed reviews that explain this, too.

Little Witch in the Woods is an absolutely charming game with adorable graphics that feel nothing short of perfect. Every scene is a visual delight, filled with cozy, magical details that draw you in right away. The dialogue is witty, and the characters are incredibly endearing. As you play, their stories gradually deepen, making the game equally enjoyable whether you're looking for a light, relaxing experience or something more emotionally immersive. The creatures you encounter are each uniquely designed with their own quirks and mechanics. The feedback they give to your actions makes gathering and observing them genuinely fun — you’ll find yourself wondering, “What kind of creature is this one?” with genuine excitement. All in all, it’s a well-crafted, delightful game that’s easy to recommend to anyone who enjoys a bit of magic, heart, and exploration.

If you are disabled and can only play with the onscreen keyboard then I do not recommend this game as it doesn't work with the Windows OSK. I reported this in 2022 and 2023 and it has still not been fixed in 2025. Bizarrely this is the only game I have played that doesn't recognise the OSK so I don't understand why the development team have issues with this. All in all, disappointed in the devs on the radio silence on a gamebreaking issue for some disabled gamers
