Andrzej Gieralt i really wanted to thumbs up this game. this game has good graphics but does not make up for the stealth and when you die you restart to the beginning (as in starting after a cutscene not when you get a new quest) and it got super annoying, also whenever you pick up a key then read a page it doesn't show you the next quest just the one before and that can be awful and lastly the enemy gets stuck on something then it camps and it just ruined the game play and i couldn't get past it so thats why im refunding the game, and those people looking at my review i recommend to not buy this game.

About This Game
Hide in the Shadows
Take advantage of immersive stealth mechanics like staying unseen in dark areas.
If you're hiding in the dark, the demon won't be able to see you unless he gets very close.
Move Silently
When walking on quiet surfaces like carpets, the demon won't hear you unless you get too close. You can also increase your chances by crouching to sneak.
If you make a lot of noise, the demon will begin to pursue you immediately.
Discover the Truth
Examine notes that have been left by previous inhabitants of the Lake of Liberation retreat. You're a prisoner, and you've never been here before - you won't find hints or guidance, maps or map markers.
Depending on which secrets you find, you will end up with different endings. Will you experience them all?
Free a Darkened World
A dark evil has taken away everything you love, and it's finally time to reveal the truth.

Had my heart racing right from the start trying to avoid the approaching demon! It was especially terrifying with the whispers in the basement levels. Great ambience! Got stuck and stabbed a few times in the pool area 😅. Would have liked to maybe have the privacy screens further back from the walls as sort of those hide away alcoves closer to like those nearer the library (they were a life saver).
So after an hour of playing and two endings i must say the game is doesn't feel good so far. I encountered at least two bugs, the "demon" being stuck on stairs and the notebook with the instructions that are unclear. I had not really an idea what i had to do but wandering around in the dark ,without a torch, picking up letters and keys that would lead me to more letters and keys. Maybe with some improvements, it can turn into a nice little horror game but so far, not really enjoyable. Your choice.
The atmosfere is really good, I reaaally like the textures! In the beggining I was frozen with the whispers thinking the demon was close. But in time you get used to and just play. The demon was very easy to avoid: just run to him, it will damage you and suddenly disapears, with time enough for you to recover the damage and repeat the process. I personally didn't use much of the stealth, just running around like a crazy searching for the keys. And I died reading a note >:( cmon give me a time to breath
Heir Obscure does a good job with it's atmosphere to create a sense of dread and suspense. It's art style and voice acting both lend themselves to the overall tone as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing experience. Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to figure out where you're supposed to go next, but aside from that everything else was straightforward. If you have a completionist mindset and want to find all three endings there's around 1-2 hours of content in the game, which is pretty decent for the price tag.
Being scared by, and subsequently running to hide from the demon is very fun. The overall atmosphere had me looking around corners and moving quickly from shadow to shadow. I also like the art style. Some improvements could come in the controls and consistency of the way stealth works but overall this is an entertaining title.
Super spooky game! Feels like a modern re-telling of the Slenderman game, but with a more concrete story to it. The atmosphere is incredible, and the ambience is really spot on. Has the appeal of linear story-telling with an open-world style. Highly recommend if you're looking for something that's got a different story to tell, but has the feeling of familiarity to some cult-classics.
