StarScraper has a lot of great ideas but just needs a lot more work. I would not recommend it in its present form unless the dev pushes a series of updates. The UI is very sluggish and there's way too much clicking to switch between the building and the maintenance mode in the top left menu's first option. It just gets annoying after a while. The left click button does absolutely nothing on the various rooms and it would be nice to see some occupancy/usage stats, revenue and total visitors etc. The Steam achievements don't work and overall the game just pales in comparison to a Sim Tower. I'm sure that over time it will likely improve but for now I'm just looking forward to some upcoming updates to address some fundamentals.

I've always wanted to play a more relaxing version of Sim Tower and Project Highrise. So naturally, StarScraper caught my eye even before launch. So I bought it right after. And oh boy, this game just hits the spot for me! Despite its bugs, I've been able to chill after work by playing StarScraper. And since the passionate developers seem to be keen on ironing out the kinks, I'm confident that this game will get polished. Recommended.

Its a towerbuilding game. Gameplay is fairly repetative. And that is to be expected. Its all about finding those small tweaks which make this tower the greatest tower and thats how its supposed to be. So good on the dev for that. What I have never felt the need for however is manual maintence of my tower. This imo is something which needs to be fixed right away. It has much the same feel to it as Simtower, Ytower or even project highrise. But I dont feel like it adds anything to the mix. In fact due to the fact I have to manually do maintence I would say quality of life has gone down. I dont like the UI. I might be alone in that or it might just take some time getting used to. Price is as Im writing this (11.06.21) 145 NOK. Which is somewhere between 10 & 15 €. That feels a bit too steep. All in all at this point in time I dont think I could recommend it. More so at this price point. If you love towersims and can get it on a sale? Sure go ahead. Somewhere between a 3 & 4 if I...

Personally, I've been waiting for this game to release for quite a bit. So far I find the game rather charming and fun. However, the game also feels a bit unfinished. There is SOO much potential and I am excited to see what kind of things the Devs will put into the game. Pros: - Very cute - Nice music - Visually appealing - The addition of stocks is very cool - Fast paced Cons: - Feels unfinished - Lack of a tutorial - Some features can use a bit of clarification.. Things I suggest: - Starting on average speed is probably better than starting on fast speed when you create a new tower. - Clarification on the third tool towards the left (pink one with the dudes). I really didn't understand its purpose. - Not sure if this is just something I haven't discovered, but I'd like the ability to either move or destroy rooms. It kind of sucks when you accidentally place a room on the wrong spot and your OCD goes all cray cray. - A tutorial!! Overall I would recommend this for players looking f...

--Very little replay value or interesting decision-making. The return on investment from offices and server farms is staggering, and requires no support beyond fire systems. Playing the game as intended is miserable. If you ever build a residential unit or hotel or retail (why!) you need to worry about boilers, trash collection, ambiance/architecture, leasing offices/space, foot traffic, noise, required support buildings, and revenue figures low enough to make fire systems hard to sustain. The building synergies and noise are particularly frustrating to work around -- it's really hard to do a cluster of libraries without them causing enough noise to annoy each other. Like, why are libraries causing noise pollution? Were the 10 things we needed to keep track of not enough? --The graphics feel primitive for a category where players usually do a lot of replay. --Very little progression through the game. You start with the second-best building in the game (the office). Don't waste any t...

This is a nifty tower sim. The music is catchy and it's surprisingly addictive.

StarScraper has potential but it feels more like an Early Access release at this stage. I can't recommend this game having played Mad Tower Tycoon, an extremely similar game that boasts more developed features and a cheaper price tag. In Mad Tower Tycoon, for instance, visitors actually interact with the rooms you place in a meaningful way. In StarScraper, visitors just walk by the room and whenever they "use" it, a dollar sign pops up and they move on. During the whole game, I just felt like I was copying and pasting 2D images of rooms as I was placing them down and watching figurines saunter pass them. Money would come in, and I would put a new room down - etc. The gameplay loop unfortunately gets repetitive too quickly. If you want to scratch the tower-building itch, I would just recommend having a look at Mad Tower Tycoon - it ticks the same boxes in my opinion but in a better way.

I have been following this game for a while on social media and had high hopes for the game. Unfortunately after buying the game i feel as though i had my hopes up too high. I feel as though the game was released too soon. The game very much does have potential to become a great game but at the moment i would not be able to recommend the game in the state that it is currently.

Very buggy, particularly the lift and the frequency of fires.

StarScraper is a fun chill game. It's feels sandboxy. There is some progression, you unlock rooms and amenities. There's not campaigns or scenarios. It gives you a lot of room choices up front rather than having to unlock a bunch, which I think is what gives it the sandbox feel. I haven't tried the Speedrun Mode yet though. I've never played SimTower, but I've played a lot of Project Highrise. Very cool to have another tower builder game to play. I'm not into making the most optimal money farm, so I'm not playing it that way. For me it's a game I can have a drink with and chill out and play in the evening after work. I feel like I'm playing with toys. I like how high the tower can go. I still need to explore that further. I really like playing with the elevator buttons in the main menu lol. There's a lot of charm and little details like that. The music is cool. So if you want to play a chill sandbox tower builder this is a fun choice.
