'Dark Forest: Lost Story VR' is a slightly interactive horror story of which there are two main stories to enjoy. The first one is about 'Baba Yaga', you get told a short story in Russian, with English text, then you go on a 20minuet or so adventure with jump-scares and a small amount of interactivity. Sadly the 2nd story called 'Killers Creepers' is not ready yet, so you only have the one for now. But 'Baba Yaga' isn't terrible at all. It looks good, has a few soft jump-scares and is pretty easy to play. I can see this going down well at a Halloween party for kids. I really didn't mind it at all, for just £3.99 you get a good looking game that does only have one story to enjoy for now, but if that 2nd story doesn't get launched I would consider not giving this the thumbs up, but I will trust that it does.

Got stuck on a tree, spent 10 mins trying to free myself, and was unsuccessful. At least it was cheap and it looks decent.

I liked this game in the begining, the graphics and atmosphere is good. However the grandma is way to fast and will kill you, just to make you repeat your latest checkpoint. When you are supposed to collect 6 souls I got killed by grandma so many times I called it quits.

Really good graphics, good atmosphere but sadly the controlls kill me. I know there are some people not using them much in VR but i would love Strafe movements. Especially if you get hunted it is easier to run away with strafing then with actually using your head as directional device... So please dear dev add right or left hand tracking for directional movement and strafing. The rest of the game seems pretty intense.

Well unfortunately there is not much to say, at the first (cutscene I suppose) my Index got black and my controllers vibrated nonstop. First I thought there will be a jumpscare or something but it just stayed like this and nothing was reacting. Had to kill the game. Tried again, same error. I understand that this is indie, but it's still pretty disappointing. At this state I can not recommend it.

The graphics were better than I had hoped for, they gave off a really good vibe overall (or well bad, but in a good way!). Sadly did encounter some bugs. Stuck on tree stumps (yet could walk over the biggest stones inside the tomb). Also managed to bug out Baba (I guess I may have looped/ cornered her too hard). Which was a blessing in disguise, I could finish that part without worrying for a heart attack ;-). Will replay it and hope that it won't bug out again once I do. I didn't wanna risk losing all progression due to the saving system, it saved, but I am still not 100% sure how it does that apart from the glowy check points. Game had some good jumpscares. Would recommend for the price. Especially if there will be more chapters. I spend a solid 40 - 50 minutes in total in there (excluding the game deaths and messing around). Graphics did seem to get worse over time, especially after taking portals and after a game over. Which resulted in having to restart the game in order to play...

Baba Yaga: Looks amazing, pretty darn scary. Absolutely love it. Finders Keepers: Not so great. Needle in a haystack type game. No enemies, just atmosphere. I am disappointed that the game isn't finished on launch. I wanted to play the last one but I guess I'm being punished for purchasing this too early.
