Discount/Bargain bin P.T. except that halfway through the game, it becomes a shitty platformer where you need to walk down short curved lines while your character is drunk, thus the screen is shaking all over the place making it so you fall and have to repeat it all over again, wasting a ton of your time, if it wasn't for that you could beat this in about 30 minutes. There is no save system, or pause system for that matter, the jump scares are lame and the "monsters" are just boring mannequins. In the beginning the main character has a few voiced lines, but when the "spoopy stuff" starts happening, he is mysteriously quiet, probably cause the voice actor has no skill at voice acting. The game also has this pixelated filter the entire time, that you can not turn off. Basically, save your money and get an actual game... this is a "Markiplier game" meant to be streamed by a Youtuber so they can pretend and exaggerate their reactions to make some money from their fans.

short but really pretty and spooky for the price if you like horror you should get it
Short horror experience, it may not be for everyone but it has a charm to it. + Pixel graphics + Light jump scares - You can only walk, no option to run - Frustrating game play - Very minimal story - Short game
THE GOOD: -A fantastic use of lighting and ambient sounds effects to help sell the mood and immerse the player -Basic monster design, but still quite scary for what it is -Pretty decent soundtrack -Damn cheap -Some good spooks here and there THE BAD: -The pixelated style this game has just doesn't work at all. Most games that have this type of art style will also have low poly and low quality textures to bring the whole style together, but in Blackout, the game sticks with modern high poly/ high res textures with a pixel filter slapped on top. This game would've been far better looking if they removed the pixel filter imo -Vast majority of jumpscares are just an audio stinger and a spooky thing jumping at you, nothing more -Almost no world-building. No notes or little pieces of dialogue that can show us what our character is thinking or what is happening, things just happen in this game. Sure, the fear of the unknown can be a pretty scary part of horror games, but the best horror game...
A slow plodding P.S. like walking sim that doesn't really try to tell you a story leaving you to wonder what the point of all of your 30+ minute journey was for and then leaves you with an unfinished ending. The music was the only thing that was good at setting the mood but other than that there are so many more other horror games that deserve your attention than this one that you should just pass on this one.
Very good price for a game like this very creepy and atmospheric not as long as I thought it was but good atmosphere. More of a walking simulator I thought you could interact with more things in the game but like I said I loved it and I loved the pixel art of this game. Great Work. Check out my full gameplay here if you wish to. https://youtu.be/cwtyZE3w9H4
Not worth it The good -it's cheap -the style The bad -very short -terrible platforming section -VERY slow movement speed -very ubrupt ending -bad voice acting -seems like a collection of (boring) "horror" scenes without any connection
Better than them newest game "Cursed House" which is unplayable. This one is cheaper & bit better with those jump scares. It can be improved, but in 1 year it seems it didn't. Pixelated & walking over the lines in void is annoying af. This actually raise concerns about the devs & them future games.
BLACKOUT
At first i had creepy vibes about this game and it's visual style. But tbh, that quickly went away after noticing nothing really can get to you. However it was still a nice and fun experience, would still recommend.
To call BLACKOUT a fully fledged video game would be overdoing it, as it feels more like a demo or teaser, as i finished the game in an insulting 0.8 hours. The game does not even have a menu, you have to alt-f4 to exit the damn game. While the game looks amazing, as they have nailed the style and lighting, the actual gameplay is immensly undercooked. The game does try to set up a "creepy mood", but proceeds to throw it out of the window the next minute with a cheap high string jumpscare. It also has an PT inspired section that at this point has been done to death. Not to mention that the areas don't seem to have connections to eachother and you just "appear" in them without any rhyme or reason. The story does very little to explain anything other than the true old "you've done something bad and the ghost or supernatural have come back to make spooky shennanigans" Your character walks EXTREMELY slowly, that if the jumpscares didn't scare you, the walking will make you bored to dea...
