About This Game

In this turn-based strategy game set in the fantastic world of SpellForce, take up the mantle of your master as the heir to his mysterious wizard’s tower.
Study a multitude of spells to cast over the lands around you, summon fantastical minions and train mighty warriors to roam the world. Fight in fast-paced but tactical turn-based battles.

Explore the Realm of Eo

Win over mighty heroes to go on adventures for you, find useful artefacts and ingredients or bring back riches.
Seek out talented apprentices to expand your domain and workers to gather a wealth of resources for you. Unearth the secrets inherited from your master and follow his quest to tap and unleash the ultimate source of magical power – the Allfire!

Face powerful foes

Among the other mages, there are those who would oppose your rise to power. You will have to face great armies and even greater ambitions of your rival Mages. Can you survive the struggle for domination?
To expand your domain, you will need to control sources of Allfire, so you can fill your grimoire with new magical spells, craft mighty artefacts, and expand and improve your tower.

Choose wisely

Become a Necromancer creating dozens of powerful undead, an Alchemist concocting potions and explosive vials for use in battle or an Artificer crafting glyphs and magical items to furnish your troops with. Bolster your might with over 60 spells and more than 100 different troops from lowly goblins to majestic griffons.

Leave your mark

Befriend cities, harvest resources, and expand your domain. Fill your grimoire with arcane knowledge to best your rivals as you vie for sources of power. Hunt arcane artefacts and unearth the long-hidden secrets of the Shapers or take control of mythical locations to absorb their power. Improve your tower and furnish it with new rooms to grow your dominion, with upgrades ranging from a necromancer’s crypt to the mystical crystal chamber.

Tower on the fly

Your immense magical sophistication allows your tower to levitate from the ground and travel the lands.
On your path to exploit the sources of magical power on Eo, you will face New Purity fanatics, hostile granite dwarves, and bloodthirsty orcs. Encounter undead, demons, and monsters as you explore forgotten ruins or help a village haunted by ghosts.
You might even need to face the other wizards’ armies of minions and best them in battle so you can march on your competitors’ towers and reduce them to rubble. Or perhaps you might find a way for you to appease them and profit from their knowledge?

SpellForce: Conquest of Eo lets you dive into a rich world, filled to the brim with magic and adventure. Will you succeed or perish in the struggle to become the greatest mage the world has ever seen?

  • Expand and improve your tower and construct new rooms to forge your wizard’s path
  • Choose from one of three archetypes and six spell lists, all allowing different styles of play
  • Recruit individual heroes and apprentices to lead your troops
  • Make the living interactive grimoire reveal new secrets and spells to you

SpellForce: Conquest of Eo presents an intriguing fusion of 4X strategy, tactical RPG elements, and deep fantasy lore that invites players into the magical world of Eo. You step into the shoes of a powerful mage, inheriting a mystical floating wizard tower that serves as both your home base and a mobile fortress. The core gameplay revolves around expanding your influence by exploring diverse regions, completing a multitude of quests, managing resources, and engaging in strategic turn-based battles on hexagonal grids. This blend of grand strategy with intimate tactical encounters creates a layered experience that rewards careful planning and thoughtful decision-making. One of the game’s standout features is the concept of the mobile wizard tower. Unlike static bases typical in many 4X games, your tower drifts across the world map, offering a dynamic hub for your operations. This constantly shifting headquarters compels players to adapt their strategy continually, managing limited res...

I have been playing both this and Age of Wonders 4, both have been a lot of fun, but in the end I would recommend this over age of wonders 4 because the devs actually fix important broken bugs, in age of wonders 4 the game was unplayable for almost 2 months because the devs didn't consider a bug important enough to fix, a bug that could lock your game at any time as you'd be stuck on ai turns, not a problem with this game, devs listen, and devs fix their shit. Outside that I have a lot of fun with this game, they've added more random map generation for more variety, and the new classes and spells are a lot of fun, I would easily recommend this game over age of wonders 4 if you're looking for a 4x game.

I don't leave reviews, but i adore this take on a 4x. So malleable with the moving and such. If you want a singleplayer 4x that is actually a single player game then this is already up your alley. There's (basically) no fake players, just ai that behave through events, so it honestly ends up feeling a bit fairer. This is hard, it's got a curve and I've enjoyed every moment. Don't feel bad about doing a run on easier difficulties to get a hang of things either. I happen to adore spellforce and have played it since I was actually a small child, so I have some rose tinted goggles, but this is still an excellent expansion on the spellforce world and an amazing way to tie in all the other games and the changes they've made to the game as a whole. My gripes is that your first game or two will probably reach a few points where you stall out and can't do anything as the world keeps advancing. But in the end, this is a skill issue, and once I got over that I've played this rather consiste...

I just finished my first full run of the game. I had an outright blast with it. My playthrough was as the necromancer and it truly felt like I was crafting undead with my own hands. The systems in play are all fantastic. My time was well spent. The game was simpler then some major strategy games I have tried to get into. This is not a complaint, I want to like strategy games, they just normally overwhelms me. This game felt just about right. I had one complaint that I feel like is more on me then the game. There were several times throughout my playthrough that just felt like the game stalled. I think this is just my poor planning, but here it is my one complaint.

The game did not live up to expectations. Primitive graphics, an intuitively incomprehensible interface, lack of originality.

The crafting mechanic is brilliant. Really adds to the depth of this kind of game.

Pretty cool game, very fun to play as a demonologist and make cults. Not as fun as Master of Magic 2022, but better and faster to play than Age of Wonders 4. If you want sandbox quest driven handmade maps, pick this one up. If you like playing Spellforce 3, this game has the units and many many more new units. It does feel like a 4x Spellforce 3. A lot of the mage types are sort of similar, you either craft items, or runes, or potions, or possessions on your units. All are the same idea, a item you equip on the unit, the flavor changes, how you make it doesnt. But the dlc mages have cool extra mechanics that make it more fun, like the demonologist, very cool.

Deep and rewardingly complex game, where you really feel yourself as a spellcaster. It combines well elements of 4x games (resources, research, buildings, unit management) with roleplaying (make good, evil or in-between choices, participate in dialogues with consequences, take sides in conflict etc) I especially liked spellbook and the story not because how good it is, but how believable and fresh/unique it feels and plays. I'm 34 hours in, and I think I'm halfway through the main campaign. I'm already qurious to play again as different class, make different choices and maybe start in another location on the map. I think there is enough replayability for at least 3 plays (one for each class) before going into DLC route. Very-very recommended.
