This game is just weak. There are too many other better games like fire emblem or dark deity.

Underrated. I had no expectations, but this is overall quite the solid SRPG. Story, graphics, voices, gameplay are all quite good. The developers really punched above their weight given the modest kickstarter. The antagonists motivations are strange but that can be hand-waved by evil god stuff. Don't trust overall steam reviews and public perception! This is a good game! My main gripe is the power level of units feels too static throughout the game, there's never a point where units all feel too samey, every character's stat caps are more or less equal to each other which does promote a "every unit can be anything" style which is cool, but I never found a point where units can really dominate. The biggest powerspikes I guess are getting +2 range on bows and move after attacking while mounted (very op in this game). The emphasis on ranged units is annoying too since nobody can really one-shot units, most maps devolve into having your fatties hold the line while your ranged units bomb...

There's a caveat to this review. Overall I enjoy this game, but it is highly imbalanced. The boss damage reduction mechanic is poorly implemented and should be half the number of squares it is. Chapter design in the later game is frustrating to the point of questioning if it is worth continuing due to sheer numbers of enemies. If we defeat one of the antagonist's henchmen, that should be it for them. Fighting them multiple times is immersion breaking. I don't see how this would be an enjoyable game in maniac mode. It would be nigh impossible to not lose key units from Chapter 17 onward. The final tussle with the antagonist and his unreasonably high, def and 3 health bars is a nuisance, at best. Just give him extra hp and higher regen/turn, drop the defenses, and let the crew hit him hard. It's their moment, and as the player, I hate it for them. The plot is half baked and dialogue is excessive. Eden gives off Final Fantasy protagonist archetype vibes which doesn't translate well to d...

This is a tough game to review. I wish there was a middle ground between thumbs up and thumbs down. Ultimately I would give this game a thumbs up, with a personal score of 6.5/10. Pros: Combat mechanics were satisfying and graphics were top notch. Cons: You have no agency if that matters to you. There is a map but you cannot move on, being led from one area and battle to the next. Combat is extremely unbalanced even on story mode (normal/to easy?) There a generic units and named elite units. All of your units are of the named, elite variety. However, they are only as strong as generic units of the enemy for the most part. The named enemies that you encounter, at first only a few per battle, and later rivaling your groups numbers. are for some reason god like. When your named units face them, they typically do full expected damage from attacks while your units only do one, two, or maybe three points of damage. Fighting them is like chopping down a tree with a butter knife. ...

Positives + Engaging combat + Cool story + Nice voice acting Negatives - Stiff facial animations - Very long time to complete; I cannot believe it took me 160 hours to complete this game on hardest difficulty, only to find out that I missed the wife quest in the last chapter, so I have to replay last chapter to get it 🥴

This is by far the best Fire Emblem clone. This game is heavy on the story which is phenomenal. The setting is more European based than Japanese anime. It still falls behind in some combat aspects, but is most similar to Three Houses. Highly recommend if you are a fan of Fire Emblem games.
