What a delight of a game! A great mix of visual novel storytelling and dialogue, a fun potion-mixing (coffee brewing) mini game, all wrapped up in a story centered around D&D-style adventurers and the heroic quests they go on. The art is charming, the characters memorable, and the story engaging. 10/10, very cute birds contained within
Adorable, chill game about making coffee for adventurers. You need to pick the right ingredients and recipe to succeed in each quest, and while this starts easy enough, some of the later days can get tougher to figure out. While there are only 2 different endings here, there's plenty of variety in the dialogue and character interactions depending on which quests you've failed or succeeded in. And that's my favorite part about the game: the dialogue and lovable cast of characters (Krieg might be my personal favorite, but they're all great). I never felt like the story dragged on, and the characters work well with each other and have some hilarious lines. The character art has lots of different expressions/poses too (which is something some visual novels are really lacking in), and the music is excellent. It's about 5 hours for a playthrough, and a fun ride all the way through. (One thing I'd like to see is a "back" button in Caff's shop, because if you forget to save on the end of da...
Absolutely adorable casual game with a cast of funny and lovable characters! Easy to get to grips to, has an overall comfy feeling and some genuinely funny writing that's gotten more than a fair share of laughs out of me. Very excited to see what comes next from this dev!
Great game if you like Tall tales and making coffee.
A simple game about following cues for the right reactions! Pretty much if you enjoy Phoenix Wright style of visual novels where actions still matter this is a solid choice. I would have preferred seeing a little bit more importance to the upgrades you can buy, but for the price and time the game asks for, it's solid!
This has been a memorable journey, thank you for this experience! Never thought being a barista can help save lives too! (Or as an NPC -v-) The simple yet immersive mechanics of the game was intriguing, though it did sometimes feel like most coffees were rarely brewed, while other coffees were brewed more often. Nonetheless, it's been a great time, 9/10! P.S. It would be great to have either a new game, or a paid DLC expansion, with either of the ideas: - Chelly can continue her barista journey in the south, with a new cast of characters to meet and aid with brand new quests - Chelly returns from The Great Migration and begins a new barista journey with old and new characters - August takes over The Feathered Cup as a (temporary) barista while Chelly is away Purely suggestions, but seriously, I really enjoyed my time here. :>
Made coffee how it told me to. Got told both customers were wrong but not why. The tutorial is front-loaded as heck, instead of introducing things through story line as they're needed. I don't know anything about coffee so all the terminology was lost on me. Not a fun experience.
Very sweet character driven game, with some adorable characters. Had a lovely time reading through each scenario! Think my only criticism is that it was a little confusing which stat to apply in certain scenarios, but it does not hamper the overall experience and is making me want to replay the game to see the different outcomes.
Cute little game, nothing fantastic, but it works. You have to guess what type of coffee best fits the situations thrown at you based on the dialog... and that's it! The story is basic, but it can change depending on how well your coffee makes a difference (yeah I know, weird).
