About This Game

Welcome to the year 2099, where all communication must use the correct grammar. Using incorrect grammar can result in being fired, denied public services, or even jailed.

Play as a fresh graduate of theoretical mathematics who made grammar your fiftieth(ish) priority to learn (just after lighting a fire with teeth.) Because of some mix-up, now you are working as a grammar validator in the biggest grammar validation agency.

Use your grammar and management skills to work your way up from “Junior Passable Intern” to “Editor Extraordinaire.” Find and correct grammatical mistakes in documents, learn some new grammar rules, and beat your colleagues in a grammar battle. If you are doing well, you can upgrade your crummy apartment, adopt a pet, or ride a helicopter to the office. Everything is possible in Grammarian ltd.

A developer from Malang, Indonesia, a country whose half population does not necessarily understand English instead of using the right grammar, trying to encourage a game that makes the complex concept the main attraction. Concepts that even the speakers are natives are often wrong. He was then wrapped with a sweet side presentation both from the visual or audio side, the story was quite interesting to be a foundation, and extra activities outside of work that motivated you enough to do something more. Everything is wrapped in a bright world colorful world, which is of course different from Plese papers for example.

Me: plays a grammar game to relax. Also me: sweating over verb tenses like my life depends on it 😂. This game is cooll. You start out clueless and suddenly you're correcting corporate emails like a pro. Wild world, hilarious story, and lowkey educational. 8/10, would fix grammar again

You play as a grammar officer in a dystopian world where bad grammar is a crime. Funny writing, smooth difficulty curve, and charming pixel art style. Perfect for grammar nerds, language learners, or gamers looking to improve their English grammar outside of Duolingo. 7/10 – Worth a try if you want to learn and play at the same time.

I'm reviewing this after I get into the exam and was obliterated by Wahyu, the first boss battle and got punished hard to dropping to Lv 5. My overall experience was good, will try playing it again after recovering from the emotional damage. What I like: + The idea is interesting, educative but not like usual educational games + Art is cool, the color and overall presentation is good. + The subtle humor, not trying too hard to be funny. What I think may be improved: + Better narrative? I'm not a language expert but sometimes the words of choice felt unnatural. + Boss battle sudden change of pace is nice, but getting punished right after felt too hard. Down to Lv. 5 was too much, forcing me to grind few days more before got beaten again is quite annnoying. + I still don't understand how mood affects my play.

Imagine you're a parent trying to get your child to eat broccoli. So, you cover it in chocolate. It looks and tastes appealing at first, but your child ends up disappointed because, in the end, it still tastes like broccoli. That’s how most educational games feel. But NOT Grammarian Ltd! This game is genuinely good, fun, and educational. It’s like chocolate that also has the nutrients of broccoli. Highly recommended!

Super Fun and Totally Recommend! This game made me realize grammar isn’t that hard you just need to read carefully. My favorite part? Correcting other people’s grammar mistakes LOL, it’s weirdly satisfying and I also love the dynamic style and how the world feels like yeah, what if the future really cared about grammar that much? Baroque Omaha is such a cool President he can rule a culture tho. It would’ve been extra fun if the characters had changing expressions when they talk, but honestly, I’m still super happy playing this. Fun, clever, and lowkey educational in the best way!
