Beautiful atmospheric rpg with a tabletop style of play where you can choose different classes to play such as a knight, paladin, hunter and others which have yet to be released in the early access version. They come with different skills and it pays to hire companions in cities who will make a major difference between exploring a dungeon full of nightmarish horrors and lowlife hooligans or having to turn around due to not having a character who can pick locks to open doors/treasure chests. On one mission i survived much better with my companions compared to previous missions where i either went at it alone or with companions which do not fare too well in combat such as peasants. If you protect them well even a peasant can level up to be a mighty hero and ally in your group especially when gearing them up with all the cool gear one finds in dungeons. Not all dungeons are full of loot. Sometimes you will find nothing depending on how far your able to go into a castle ruin, graveyard, d...

Act, Avallon has long been waiting for its hero, who will restore peace and order ... or maybe plunge the country into chaos and devastation. You decide!
* At the start of the game, only three classes will be available to you: knight, paladin and hunter. The rest of the classes will become available after completing the game quests, and then, when your hero dies (and they will certainly die someday), you can continue playing with a character of another class.

I wanted to like this game, but it has so few features, so little variety in the quests and character customization, and so many issues (though none ever caused crashes) that I stopped playing after an hour and requested a refund. I'd recommend something like Battle Brothers over this game. I may consider getting this game again in the future if the developer improves it from its initial Early Access state.
The premise & promise of the game are great and something I had been looking for forever. However, the game is not and I'm happy I played less than 2 hours so that I might get a refund. The second to last straw was that trying to load my game and give it another shot (from yesterday) every save game straight up crashed the game. I couldn't load it or get back into it. Wanna lose you run? Yeah, no. But the last straw was the devs saying "The game mechanics will not undergo major changes.” (from their EA blurb). You wat. This game needs so much balancing, polish, help etc. My crew, characters were only at level 3 or 4 and so of my characters had a 99.5% hit rate and an 98.5% crit rate. I wish that was a typo. I didn't hardcore min-max them or anything. Normal play. What kind of balancing is this where you easily get to a place where you crit _all the time_ Either I was super unlucky or the enemies also get there, so in a 2 skull dungeon an enemy just 1-shot my quite well equipped t...
It is very potential game. Hope the developers coming back to finish it.
At first playing, I was ready to do a return, as I felt it may be shallow and too mobile craplike. It got better, but it took a little understanding of what the game is trying to do, and I am pleasantly surprised to turn my feeling around about it. A first look sees not the greatest graphics and the price seemed high for what it was, although after a time playing and dying, I knew it was something different and open to my anyway of playing. Choose what quests to take and how to get them, what the world is like and who comes and goes in it makes a big world full of adventures. We all know how early access can go, so I hope nothing but the best comes to this project.
SImple, but addictive and enjoyable. Good playability.
