About This Game

Kinetic novel, fantasy, ecchi, duration 2+ hours

The tavern is where all adventures begin—but not if you're a young, overconfident, loner elf. Because of her personality and past jobs, Enki is denied a lucrative contract to kill a river monster… unless she works with Freddie, a timid half-giant, in pursuit of the prize.

Their partnership is tested by tentacles, the cold river, prejudice, and Enki's hot-blooded behavior. Still, the next morning, the newly-minted girlfriends deal with a different threat: Mystical powers enter the fray and are promptly discovered by the duo. How will they deal with all these challenges? Well, it truly is "An Un-Epic Story"!

A harebrained and very short story, an incredibly annoying main character, innuendo that feels completely out of place, the absence of explicit imagery, no interactivity, and some text issues. Sounds bad? Oh, by no means! Enki & Tiny Freddie was so delightfully hilarious. I enjoyed it from the bottom of my heart.

I legit just bought this today and it showed the game in both English and Russian. Even before the game loaded on stream I put the language option for English. Yet it won't translate to English, and there isn't even an option to change it in the game itself. I'm very disappointed in the outcome of the setting and language options. I thought it would be a fun game to try out.

I saw this and it looked to be a wlw fantasy story that was kinda on the chill side and I was really hoping it would kind of be that, and in some ways it is that, but in most ways its just.... poor, well it intends to be parody, but it's not quite managing that, of fantasy especially fantasy anime. I don't know the authors of course, and I don't want to dismiss what was clearly hard work to some people, but when people talk about the stereotype of "Men writing wlw stories" this style of writing is what they're talking about. The art is really good and so are the designs, and it clearly comes from a love of fantasy anime, and the enthusiasm here gives it some charm, but it's characters, women especially, feel not in the least bit real and the jokes too focused on surface level references than really doing anything with it. Its very "They know from better stories that creators sometimes do x, but has yet to understand why." and it shows. Also just some big annoyances for me personall...
SOLID, BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH
An Un-epic story is a very short (~2 hours) kinetic novel about two adventurers that need on a quest to save the world. Sounds generic, right? Yep, it was generic. Of course your experience may vary - depends on what do you like. Fun characters and unusual "twists" were the best part of the game. Interactions between Enki and Freddie definitely carried the game. They weren't good enough to carry the romance part tho. It was too rushed and poorly written. Maybe another hour to build the relationship would help? Who knows. Fantasy elements were okay-ish. They helped to make the world believable, but it was too little to make it interesting. Comedy was... bad. Arrow to the knee or Metal Gear alert sound... really? I really liked art style. Really good designs (especially Freddie character), nice backgrounds, pretty CGs (SFW). There's no voice acting, but soundtrack did the job to make some scenes better. I didn't find any bugs or other major issues...
