About the Game

TVs turn on and off. Planes lose radar. Radio stations can't broadcast through the static. In the small coastal town of Camena, unnaturally occurring electromagnetic waves are suddenly causing interference with electrical and radio equipment. Reluctantly, Riley Poverly returns to her hometown to investigate the mystery, but what she finds is more than she bargained for.

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals is the mind-bending follow-up to the critically-acclaimed narrative adventure game OXENFREE from Night School Studio. Play it as a standalone story or dive deeper by playing the original – it's up to you. As you play, you'll shape every step of the story through your choices. How you choose to deal with the supernatural events at hand will forever alter the future.

Your choices matter.
Shape everything through your conversations and dialogue choices. Forge a deep friendship with an old acquaintance from high school or opt to ignore a lost fisherman in need. Your choices impact who Riley becomes, your relationships, and the story options available to you at every turn.

Start chatter from anywhere.
Use an all-new walkie talkie conversation system to chat with contacts and uncover useful insights about the mysteries of Camena. Ask for info, check in with the locals, or completely ignore them. It's your call to make. And, it has consequences.

Stop Parentage.
Five years ago on nearby Edwards Island, a few teenagers unwittingly opened a portal, creating a rift between realities and timelines. Now, members of a mysterious cult-like group called Parentage are deliberately trying to open a new portal to pull something out. Who are they? What do they want? Are they trying to contact ghosts?

Tune in to the radio.
Ghostly signals are piercing through the frequencies of Camena. Tap into the eerie sounds and static using OXENFREE's signature radio mechanic. You’ll communicate with the supernatural, manipulate the world, and travel to the past by tuning into time tears: unnatural fissures in the time-space continuum.

Save everyone and everything.
Your future was on the line in OXENFREE and those stakes are even higher in OXENFREE II. Explore, climb, and rappel across Camena’s beautifully treacherous landscape. Take risks and see where it takes you. It might be dangerous. But it could also save the future. Not only for Riley but for everyone.

The original Oxenfree was brilliant. I wrote a glowing review. It felt so unique, conjured such a strong emotional response, had clever game design and mechanics, with interesting characters and plot. This was terribly disappointing after such high expectations. As a DLC it would have been alright but just seems "copy+paste" and formulaic as a sequel, and renders itself unnecessary. Oxenfree the first, however, is amazing. Just play that.

Really nice supernatural adventure game, with a great art style that follows up the story of Oxenfree, if you liked the first one you'll probably like it, there is the feeling that the choices have less weight compared to what i remember from the first game but at the end you still get some of the important choices revealed so it's still there. Played it fully on the deck with 0 problems. Totally recommend getting it if you loved the first one and if you haven't played it, pick the first one before this.

This game falls into the same trap as many Netflix originals, filled with awkward, unconvincing characters and stale dialogue that makes interactions feel forced. Jacob, in particular, comes across as irritating rather than relatable, as if the writing is trying too hard to appeal to a younger audience. What made Oxenfree 1 so compelling was its well developed character, each character bringing depth and personality to the story. In contrast, this sequel reduces the experience to just two shallow protagonists, lacking the richness and intrigue of the original. The magic is gone, leaving behind a hollow imitation that fails to capture even half of what made the first game special.

Oxenfree 1 was a masterclass of Weird Horror and one of my favorite games of all time. This sequel, sadly, does not live up to the level of the first and smacks heavily of lacking a coherant design direction. While I enjoy Riley as a protagonist as a fellow jaded burned out adult, there's a large number of plot elements that appear to have been wielded together from various iterations of the game in a largely incoherant fashion.
You have random machines you interaction with to stop time loops, bioshock infinite-esque moments where you travel through time portals for all of ten minutes to traverse obsticles, and a kinda-cult of three teenagers where you can turn two of the members against the leader in the span of one conversation.
None of these elements Also the opening is a complete non-sequetor and doesn't fit at all with the rest of the game. I sorta wonder if Night School Studio's acquisition by Netflix may have thrown a wrench into development as the timetab...

"OXENFREE II: Lost Signals" is a wonderful sequel that builds upon everything that made the original so special. The atmosphere is once again hypnotic — mysterious, melancholic, and quietly tense in a smart and subtle way. The dialogue is excellently written, with depth and natural flow between characters that makes the story feel deeply human, despite its paranormal setting. The radio effects, audio design, and visual style remain unique and memorable — a true signature of Night School Studio. The choices you make genuinely matter and lead to different endings, and the themes of guilt, isolation, and redemption are handled with delicacy and maturity. This is a game you don’t just play — you experience it.

It was a fun adventure to play on the weekend. The characters are relatable and human - Jacob for me is one of the most interesting characters.

the game take some few years or maybe not(?) after the event of first oxenfree the characters itself have a good chemistry between riley & jacob the walking now feels more fast (which is good, if you play the first one, the walking is very slow and tedious especially if you want to replay the game to get all the achievements) the voice acting is still good and the music is still amazing there's some improvement in the first one but the "villian characters" which is just some teenagers that following some cult, with one of the name olivia is annoying as whatever reason. She literally just loud and being edgy teenagers ( there's is some reason but it just feels force (?)) The other teenagers is so underdeveloped and feels blank especially violet ( there's only one scene only which is her getting possessed that tell her background and that it's) the ghost now feels underwhelming and not as scary as the first one ( the only time is the scene in the old church) and the radio is now not ...
