From the cool prologue you get a feel for something that just seems to pull you in. I can’t believe how they weaved this first story without a feeling of unnecessary red herrings. Ok so there isn’t really matching lipsync. But the voice acting is pretty good and I love the crime detective system. The overall style is just perfect.

Only for people interested in stories about detectives and murder mysteries Interesting mystery to uncover but gameplay is all about talking to npcs, checking items, connecting facts (which can be bruteforced and is not done well enough) and confronting characters to reveal optional secrets, which feels very annoying when you fail as the game relies only on autosave and when you finish the game all you can do is start from the beggining to get other achievements and ending. overall, pretty good! i'd definitely wait to get it on sale though, i'd say it's worth $5-10. it was a 15-hour game for me, with a linear storyline; guided, limited exploration; and required dialogue and deduction routes to complete for each chapter. i will NOT be buying the $30 or $40 sequel for full price, but if they ever go on sale, i'd definitely be interesting in getting them. whats good? everyone loves an Agatha Christie mystery, the dialogue and story line are pretty good and they come across well through the interactions and a few (unskippable) cutscenes. the twists are foreshadowed well, the relationships and connections make sense, and overall it just feels fun and satisfying to play. the art is also good, the voice acting is nice, and the whole thing plays well and feels intuitive.
