About This Game

Here is a game about war, in which we do not grab a rifle, but a hammer, and instead of destroying - we create.

It’s 1945. It’s the end of World War II, the war that left a mark. Now people like you have to leave their hometowns to rebuild their countries. Motivated by different reasons, they get set on the same quest - to repair and renovate places completely destroyed during the war.

BUILDER SIMULATOR THAT TAKES YOU ON A JOURNEY AROUND EUROPE

Visit monuments and buildings, stumble upon their history and take part in the biggest rebuilding missions. Meet civilians from England, Germany and France and guide them through the process. Through the journey you will collect resources and craft materials to flip houses, repair industrial buildings, roads and squares. Pick up a hummer or a trowel, drive in a bulldozer, become a mechanic and operator of various machines like a crane, drive jeep cars and bicycles. Clean up the area, defuse and get rid of the bombs and design the new look of a place by decorating.

You can already play our game’s Demo that involves a map of Gimbert Station or a Germany Prologue with the area of St. Nicholas Church for FREE.

I cannot recommend this game for those who are looking for a game with good story elements or atleast decent building. This game is about clearing and rebuilding stuff from Britain to Germany, and advertises itself as a "game with a grappling story" but thats just not true - the only "story" you get is from collectibles, random scripted flashbacks or the loading screens. Its extremely boring. The graphics are incredibly lacking for a 20 USD Unreal Engine game, the movement is stiff and clunky, physics are almost nonexistent and bugs are a normal occurance - all packaged for you to eat up at a low price of 20 USD (i did get it on a sale though) Overall: The satisfying elements of the game - demolishing buildings, clearing rubble, doing objectives are all actually well made (except decorating). Graphics, on the other hand, are not good. The story is... there? I guess? I seriously wanted to get this game a long time ago due to several youtubers covering it, back then it seemed very inter...

TLDR: While the game's content is worth the price, this game is unplayable at times even with an RTX 3050. I first played this game in January 2023 and had no issues running this game at medium graphic settings. However, I have returned to this game in the last week and found that some levels (Hamburg, Remagen) are unplayable. Despite my NVIDIA RTX 3050 being able to handle games like Cyberpunk and Baldur's Gate 3 with little to no issue, this game just can't run properly on my system. On the larger maps, even on "low" graphic settings, my game chugs the moment I load into a map, and the best I can get is in the 5-10 FPS range. On occasion, the game can freeze my entire computer, and I have to hard reset the computer to get it back to proper working order. So while I want to recommend this game, because I did genuinely enjoy it, the current technical state of the game causes me to ward others against purchasing this game, even if they have objectively good hardware.

I was expecting a little more from this. The story is not very captivating and the building is very minimal, it's more like a collect and deposit. For a build I was expecting something that had more minigames and really made you feel like you were rebuilding. Turns out its semi like a point and click adventure. With some pointless side quest. I really want to like it, but if you're looking for some brainless entertainment then this is it.

I would love to give this game a positive review, because the core concept is certainly neat and indeed timely - after so many war games, it's a nice idea to have one about rebuilding. Alas, WW2 Rebuilder is such a lazy, uninspired take on the idea that it drives me up the wall worse than if they'd not bothered it in the first place. The primary issue here is the gameplay, which is about as deep as a puddle - there's no strategy involved, no real choice to approach problems in different ways, no risk vs reward to consider. You have tools which do a specific job and manage it with a click and very little feedback or sensation of weight behind your action, with a scrub of a brush no more laborious than the blow of a sledgehammer. The 'optional challenges' are all completely mundane, the collectable aspect of the game is annoying rather than interesting, and the addition of new level specific gameplay is surface level at best. Perhaps most irritatingly, however, for a cleaning simulat...

TLDR; I love this game, its one of a kind, the haters are gonna hate... :/ I love this game, while reading negative reviews for the game they make me kinda sad. But I do understand that people feel that this game lacks content (story line and game play) for the $20 USD but that being said *I* enjoy the game a lot. You could argue it's very brain numbing but if it is I don't care. I find the game relaxing and satisfying for building. I love the newer update with the added NPCs, they're pretty cool. I just wish they added more maps cause I've fully completed the game twice now. But that being said I'm actually re-downloading it for my fourth play through, this game brings me so much joy (for no reason lol) and satisfaction. I'd also like to point out that yes it's not perfect and *some* people have some gripes with it, the game is very specific. I've never experienced a re-builder game like this before, and I love the publisher(s).

The game is pretty user friendly, it is also quite relaxing. On top of that, the story is quite interesting as well. I experienced pretty significant drop in fps when approaching the mansion in Kent level, but idk if that was an issue of the game or my pc, the rest of the level ran well. But aside from that, the game ran smoothly and problem free, very worth the money

I need help. When I try to buy or sell an item, my mouse only goes over to craft or dismantle. Please fix this.

Such a bizarrely specific game, but I loved it. I’m sure it’s an asset flip and everyone in medieval garb is definitely weird, but honestly, I’ll play any refurb/rebuilding game if it works and has achievements. -1 star for being mean to birds. :(
