Wow. You can't choose a race. There's no economy. No way to see how your colony is growing or even a way to build on it. Do I have slots to put buildings? Is there a capacity limit? What do I even do w/ the materials my colonies are gathering? Science tree is generic. Very generic. What makes my colony grow? What do I use to improve my colonies? As far as I can tell you can't change the way your fleet looks. There's no diplomacy to speak of. Have to go to a separate screen to see how you are progressing in the science department. Can I have a general way to see how my industry is doing on a galactic scale? Game was stable, so that's a plus but overall I'd say if you're considering this game, wait. It's not worth $15, much less $25 at this time. Go play Gal Civ 2, 3, Stellaris, or the classic MOO 1 or 2. Thank you for reading.

About This Game
Uncover the secret of dark matter and construct fierce space fleets. Reveal enemies' plans with tachyon scanners and sabotage the enemy cargo flows. Test gravity weapons and bomb them away from their home planets!
As in many good strategy games, in Tachyon Wars you will have to balance between scanning, running diversion missions, defending your own colonies, and bombing pesky AI (or your best friend?) out. A variety of ship modules brings extra to your strategic planning. Decide on where to move next - an invisible naughty spy, heavy tank, or light and fast attacker? Heavy but defenseless fighter carrier or something that rocks the stars? Choose your weapons: fire and runaway rockets, long-range lasers, or shredding to bits cannons? Or maybe induce a gravity wave explosion that crumples everything around including the firing ship?
Planet management in Tachyon Wars is simplified, revolving around economic triangle (new!). The economy triangle allows to players to easily decide between science-oriented planets, mining operations, or production centers without tedious planet constructions. Make sure your frontline planets have planet defense to sustain bombing.
Gameplay video
Planet resources are scarce, so you would need to organize and support a chain of supplies from mining to building planets. Destroying supplies will break the economy of even the strongest, so bring a lot of attention to planet scanners, scout patrols, and don't forget spying on your own!
Tachyon Wars was envisaged as a multi-player experience and runs in real-time, to support simultaneous multiplayer games. Though this is different from typical RTS games, here you can pause the game and plan your next move.
You can play games with a mixed set of computer or human players. Cooperative or PvP - it's your choice. Beware, the AI tactics are tailored for clever veteran strategy players and won't keep you bored!
Tachyon Wars provides skirmish mode (aka Single Player) to toughen yourself against AI, develop new skills to show off in the future multiplayer games.

User Reviews
I would not call this a game, there is so much missing. The list is not endless (but pretty close). No species traits, governanceect ect.. While this might get a Gold Star in a science project it can't compete with with the other games in this genres.
I loved the introduction, and sincerely wish that the developers had included something similar into the gameplay to keep the user enthralled. If they did it could potentially divert your attention from the complete lack of depth in their UI/UX as well as gameplay. I didn't play long, mostly because it has the feeling of an unfinished product that at best should be considered in early access... If that was the case I could potentially be less harsh in my critique, but alas it is not so... There are 3 main ore resources but your empire seems to have no stock of them, making them pointless. Diplomacy is either non-existent or simply too unclear at least in what little game time I played, I kept shooting down "wary fleets" without any explanation into what those are or what combat happened when my frigates found them. The large scale combat animations? Didn't see or find a way of looking at any of them. The instructions to your fleets and planets are extremely click intensive and the...
That is an interesting one, space strategy with the real-time flow. I am looking forward to try out PvP. I read some reviews below and wanted to say - not much of a point to expect it to be another space strategy clone with different race pictures. Here you offered some novel ideas, and you'd need to dive into it to see the difference. I enjoyed tactics, some good tunes, and 3D space combats, even though some polishing was needed here and there. Thank you.
This is a very shallow clone of Master of Orion I with some differences, real time play and the other kind of interesting mechanic – ship fuel limitation. It’s not a very good 4X game, and it is not very clear when it comes to the game giving you information about your empire. The UI is also very frustrating, giving commands to your fleets is also quite difficult and just irritating. Don’t buy, there are way better games, one of them being the original Master of Orion I.
