Pretty good game. No cheap jumpscares, controls feel nice, map is pretty big, very nice tutorial, and the player looks very nice all this game needs now is multiplayer and i imagine it'll be up there with Phasmaphobia

About This Game
You'll need a sharp eye to locate evidence throughout the case, documenting all you can find with your camera whilst exploring the abandoned crime scenes. As a professional investigator, you'll need to put the case together, by connecting the dots and discovering who the culprits are.
Choose which technology you want to take on the case. Each time you visit the academy you'll decide what equipment you want to take with you, whether that be sensors, traps or weapons. Your detective mask will give you some protection from aggressive entities but don't be surprised if some of your equipment breaks in the field.
Either way, you'll always have your trusty tablet at your side, allowing you to picture any evidence you find and keep demonic forces at bay. This is no regular camera, the Pentacam was built using ritual magic. The demons will fear you as you charge up the Pentacam and manifest them further with each shot. Until they are eventually captured within the device.
Revenants: Spirit & Mind is a standalone case, with additional cases being released in the future.
Case: Spirit & Mind
This case has been cold since it was abandoned in 1997. What started with a missing schoolgirl, soon escalated with multiple students and Police Officers injured. It's taken 33 years until the technology has been able to level out the playing field, and now Spirit & Mind academy is ready to be explored once again.Exploring this sprawling academy will be no easy feat. Being one of the first people to enter the academy in all these years means there's plenty of undisturbed evidence still to be collected. Are you the investigator capable of solving the case? Or will you end up like the others...
Equipment
The Electro-Magnetic Cube is your reliable proximity sensor. It'll alert you whenever an entity goes anywhere near the cube. Keep it nearby to stop any demons from getting the jump on you, or leave it somewhere to keep an eye on an extra area. The Tesla Gate will allow you to set up the encounter in your favour. By placing the individual tesla coils around an area, you can set up a network of 'trip-wires'. When activated, these will stop any entities in their tracks, allowing you to take the shot.
There's also weaponry such as the Ion-Flashbang. This works like any other stun grenade, except it packs a punch against usually untouchable entities. Using all of this equipment effectively will be essential to getting the edge and capturing demons.
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/487Fw1M2iM0 So this game has a lot of similarities to Phasmophobia, but it nowhere near as good as Phasmo. It's basically a single-player Phasmophobia and you're playing on the school map. There's also a bit of a story here where you're an occult investigator and you're trying to find out what happened to a missing girl. You have 4 tools that you can use: a cube that reacts whenever a demon / revenant is nearby, a stun light grenade that stuns & then slows the demon, CCTV cameras, & tesla shock coils that can trap an area. You also have a tablet that can give you case information or that you can use to take UV photos. You'll see clues using the UV and you can also use it to damage revenants with magic photos. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On high graphical settings, the game was running at a steady 90 fps on my RTX 3080. You have full locomotion as well as smooth and snap tu...
taking a break after almost 4 hours and enjoying it so far, map has lots to explore and there's always something interesting to find with the uv
Been a VR pleb for a solid 5 years, I rarely review anything because I'm extremely lazy, but this game has made me want to voice my nugget of a voice! This is absolutely worth your time, it has the correct amount of weirdness, areas where you have to use your noggin and spooks for days! If I were to give you a rough example of what it is like, picture Phasmophobia but with the ability to defend yourself and build up a case to see what ACTUALLY happened to the poor ghost! Little to no bugs and ran beautifully smooth! This is only the beginning, I can see this taking off. I streamed it LIVE to capture my initial reactions here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1251153574
The map is visually pleasing and big, the cube was very handy, and the tablet felt really nice. Not finished it yet but seems to have a decent amount of gameplay.
This is an amazing experience, the game does not rely on cheap jumpscare instead you'll explore and find clues while fighting demons
Like most games that just released from small Indie Devs, it has its share of bugs. But if you can look past that it's the perfect game for what it is. A great "ghost hunting" game that gives you an interesting single-player experience looking for clues/evidence and solving cases all while being hunted by ghost along the way. Although I love a Co-Op experience I can understand/appreciate how they've created the way their game is to be played. All in all for the price it's listed at ($12.99), I think the game has a fair amount of content, and the Devs can't do anything now but add more along the way with support.
Revenants first off, is a very immersive VR gaming experience. It will scare you, wear your brown pants. In the game we play a Occult investigator, that collects evidence of demonic forces, then hunts them down. We have a range of high tech toys to work with. We are on a cold case called Spirt & Mind, its a old case of a missing school girl. We will be exploring a creepy old school, where we must investigate and collect evidence of demonic forces, then try to survive and hunt them down. This game gives me strong vibes of the TV show Supernatural, with the Winchester brothers Sam & Dean. Unlike Sam & Dean though, I was not as brave, and the hair on my arms actually stood up at times. The game world is dark and scary, and will send chills down your spine. From the spooky looking dark school we explore to the great sounds and background music, you will feel like you are in a horror movie / show. Supernatural made this job look easy and fun. It was challenging and terrifying instead. I we...
Great game really enjoying it
