10 Dead Doves is a short, singleplayer, fixed-perspective horror story set in the heart of the Appalachian wilderness.

It's 2004. The mountains are much older.

You play as Marcus Stetson -- the Most Pathetic Man on Earth -- a seasoned backpacker on the Appalachian Trail who decides to pool his resources to team up one last time with his human firecracker of a trail buddy, Sean.

Their mission is to relive the glory days and embark on one final outing: To pinpoint and find the truth behind the holy grail of urban legends: a mysterious, mythical place known in whispers as the Ant Farm.

During their journey, their bond, will, and wits are put to the test when Mark receives a series of cryptic messages in his dreams from a haunting, bird-like figure named The Wren.

Will you discover why the birds are dropping dead -- or will you leave behind nothing but footprints?

I'm somewhat torn on this game. I did enjoy it overall, the gameplay-mostly walking around solving puzzles- and the feel of the game. It had tense moments and good spooks. But if you enjoy a somewhat cohesive story that ends in a satisfying way....maybe this game isn't for you. I feel like I need to watch a 2 hour youtube video to figure out wtf just happened. Overall enjoyable just dont expect much from the story. Also-bonus points for it being the first game I have ever seen that acknowledges when you try to put in '6969' into a keypad

I absolutely love the aesthetics of this game. PS1 graphics with Angela Anaconda esk creatures, not to mention the sad, but sweet, story. I'd heavily recommend it. You can complete it on a good weekend, and you get a good story about a person who messed up their life, trying to get it back on track by finding a wish in the center of a horrific "ant farm."
