I bought Sleep Tight because of watching gamers play on Youtube and Twitch. It's funny seeing grownups scream and grown men cry from playing! I had to try it for myself. Playing is better than watching someone else because you're fully immersed in the experience -with sounds all around- and everything is extra terrifying. The monsters are scary and look awesome! Each night a new monster appears and so far the double-scream one is my fave. You can tell Bearfoxbear took time making this game. I haven't beaten it yet but plan to! Most people play through nights one and two, but the game gets better after that! Definitely my favorite game on VR right now.
Looks like I am in the minority, but I didn't really enjoy this game. Maybe it's just not for me. It's a sit in one place wave-based game where you must constantly keep turning your head around quickly, which tends to cause me some nausea in VR games. The bed is extremely small and every level looks exactly the same. By night 4, I also found that I was constantly being overwhelmed by monsters that would seemingly come out of nowhere. I also found the menu pointer to be extremely buggy with the Index controller where it just would not appear for the longest time. Overall for me, this game was a one time experience with no desire to replay.
I wanted to play this game because I saw a grown man cry while playing it on Youtube, and wow! He wasn't even exaggerating! The monsters are super scary and are different every night so it's a whole new experience every level. I really like that there are points you can accumulate to upgrade your weapons and your adorable teddy bear side kick that tends to flop around and act as comical relief to prevent you from having a complete panic attack every time a monster lunges into your face! The game play is super smooth, the controls are easy to figure out, and you can tell the developers put a lot of work into designing your horrifying bedroom, teddy friends, and all of the scary things that crawl, run, and cool aid man style smash through your walls, ceilings, and floor towards you! There is no relaxing while playing this game! Highly recommend sitting down to play as there is A LOT going on, especially if you play in normal or torment mode and try to make it past night 3! good game i like to imagene that the scary people are the palestienes who throw rocks at my fence
Enjoyed playing this, it's not often I find a game that raises the hair on the back of my neck.
Great immersion with plenty of scares. Looks great and ran smoothly. Recommended for fans of horror games and that likes high intensity game play with a challenge. Experienced using Value Index
Overwhelmingly stressful :) I couldn't survive for two nights. The thing is, it is not only scary, it needs concentration, timing and reflexes in order to proceed. I wish It was easier, at least for a few nights in the beginning. The gameplay is basically similar to Boogeyman series, but the progress seems different. You have a cute friend with you. And, you will have some helpful items unlocked when you pass each night depending on your performance. if you need to take your mind off things, this game can be a quick cure.
Although the game-play is simple and wave-based, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the fun/fear factor. Great graphics, very atmospheric and immersive, and excellent sound and voice acting. Perfect to spook newcomers to VR, and to have a casual but pretty intense gaming moment from time to time. Maybe the price could be a little lower though? Still, recommended but only if you don't mind (quality) jump-scares :)
Literally one the best things I've experienced in vr in general let alone in vr horror. Extremely polished both graphically and game-play wise.
