About This Game

You, a legendary retired veteran, are called upon for one last operation: to ascend a mega-city ruled by a corrupt conglomerate. You were chosen for this mission because of your signature chain-hook prosthetic arm and the ability to maneuver and quickly defeat enemies. The mission: to hunt down a mysterious entity known as “SANABI” and uncover corporate secrets hidden deep within the city.

An exhilarating platformer

Your giant chain-hook prosthetic arm acts as both a method for quickly maneuvering around and also a way to swiftly take out your opponents. With your legendary skills, you are capable of using your prosthetic arm to jump over cliffs and skyscrapers, dash through bullets and traps and defeat powerful enemies. It's time for you to come back out of retirement for one last mission.

A beautiful yet mysterious cyberpunk dystopia

Mega-city “MAGO” is a high-tech city ruled by a corrupt conglomerate… at least, that’s what it was 24 hours ago. After a sudden blackout, all of its citizens mysteriously disappeared and the city was left in total chaos. It’s your mission to explore the depths of the city and uncover what happened.

Mari, the hacker prodigy

A brilliant hacker and drone rider you meet during your mission. Mari can open locked doors, reveal enemy weaknesses and uncover encrypted information. Mari is lovely and reliable, but maybe just a little too chatty. Who knows though, this girl might be the key to finding SANABI.

I’ve never been much of a fan of 2D or pixel art games, especially when playing them on a big screen. But after getting a Steam Deck, I thought, This might be the perfect device for games like these. The very first game I tried was Sanabi, purely on a friend’s recommendation. I went in completely blind no gameplay videos, no reviews and I’m so glad I did. The gameplay is fantastic it's smooth, snappy, and incredibly fun to master with brilliantly designed levels that suit both casual players and speedrunners. I had so much fun mastering its mechanics and eventually clearing Legend Difficulty. Yet, as great as the gameplay is, what truly stayed with me is the story. It’s been some time since I was this invested in a narrative (probably not since Clair Obscur: Expedition 33). Unexpected twists, emotional character arcs, mystery, and clever pacing kept me hooked from start to finish. And here’s the biggest surprise: Sanabi changed how I view certain styles. I’ve never...

I was looking for a roguelike game and somehow ended up here. I will never regret it, as this game is one of the best I have ever played. Absolutely stunning graphics for a 2D pixel game. Fast paced, challenging, but not impossible or frustrating gameplay, with a very interesting, sad, unexpected and deep storyline. A real gem. Just buy it, don't read the reviews, trust me, it's worth it.

Story driven platformer with charming pixel art and detail, and doesn't overstay its welcome. Swinging around feels really good once you get used to it.

Platformers aren't usually my kind of games, but if there is ever one that i'd recommend, it's this one, it has a few frustrating parts, but those are very few compared to the amount of fun I've had, and the story is amazing, probably the best 13€ I've spent in my life.

This was a journey of a story, filled with challenges, fun interactions, and lots of heart, you just gotta find the answers and get to the end. It has a high likelihood of hitting the feelings, it did for me, and it's a game that already holds a dear spot in my heart. The gameplay itself takes a while to master, but once you do, well, there's a cutscene very early in the game where they show you what your character is capable of, and by the end you truly feel like the unstoppable machine they show you as. Don't forget you aren't one, okay?

One of the best games I've ever played. At the beginning of the game, the only issue I had was getting used to the gameplay mechanics, which were quite fast (skill issue). The graphics are beautiful, the story is cool, and the gameplay mechanics are unique. I just wish there was a final boss at the end, hehe.
