With the free Moschin expansion, engage in tense night-time battles on a new battlefield, where only moonlight and forest fires illuminate the enemy. Two new weapons also join the frontlines: the Moschetto Automatico Revelli-Beretta carbine, and the M1917 Geballte Ladung 6x grenade.

About the Game

World War One expands to the mountains of the Italian Front - beautiful but deadly in equal measure. Take part in key offensives of the Great War, from the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo to the Strafexpedition, and lead your team to victory among the scenic landscapes and peaks of Northern Italy.

Isonzo is a realistic tactical multiplayer FPS crafted by BlackMill Games, known for their critically acclaimed authentic WW1 wargames such as Verdun and Tannenberg. Immerse yourself in faithful recreations of historical battles with intense 48-player matches, testing your tactical skills and mastery of Alpine warfare.

Decide your path to victory: whether you’re leading the offensive with grenades or using mountain trails to flank enemy positions, you have options. Dive into combat or take a supporting role cutting barbed wire and crewing heavy machine guns and mortars. Thanks to a unique flare gun system, mark targets for artillery strikes or biplane flybys, before charging in to finish the job at close quarters with bayonets or trench clubs.

Choose from six distinct classes and build your loadout from a selection of 50+ iconic WW1 weapons, along with historically accurate equipment and perks specific to each class. Play as a Marksman to pick off soldiers from afar, storm enemy lines with the Assault class, issue tactical orders as an Officer, and much more.

After choosing a class, make it your own by picking from a large variety of role-appropriate uniforms, accessories and headgear. As a finishing touch, you can even pick your mustache from several famous wartime styles!

From hillside fortresses to mountain trenches and city streets, fight through varied Alpine landscapes inspired by historical battles. Learn the lay of the land to maintain cover and surprise your enemies - or go a step further to shape a dynamic battlefield by placing sandbags, barbed wire and ammo crates. Trench periscopes and sniper shields offer even more tactical options, but beware of poisonous gas attacks and artillery barrages!

Taking inspiration from the years-long struggle for control of the Alps during World War One, Isonzo brings the authenticity of the conflict to all players. Everything is recreated based on research and field trips, from sound effects, weapons and uniforms down to the houses, vineyards and trenches you’ll be fighting over. Choose your side and immerse yourself in History!

Enlist for more First World War action with the other standalone titles in the WW1 Game Series: Gallipoli, Tannenberg and Verdun. Engage in expeditionary warfare on the Middle Eastern Front with Gallipoli, maneuver for control of key sectors in Tannenberg on the Eastern Front OR Dive into the trenches along the Western Front in Verdun. Choose from a range of squads from across the war, as they fight for control of the ever-changing frontlines.

First game I played after purchasing, got mass reported by the lobby for getting too many kills. Notified when I launched it the next day that I had been banned for a week. Appealed the ban with the devs and provided system logs to prove I was not cheating. Ban was upheld. Game is fun, but don’t play too well, you have been warned lol

The game is no realistic actually... some of the gears just way more strong and it ruined the experience, and the game won't balance the team as the other games did, so most of the time it just one side get crash quickly then people go away, you play with bots

The game is completely FUBAR by the dev's stupid decision to turn grenades into glorified potatoes. And linking half the progress behind using the glorified potatoes. Do you get a kill counted? only if you are alive, and good luck remaining alive after 10 seconds of trying to arm a grenade. until they fox the grenades ( they won't, they announced they're dropping the game entirely), I will leave the review as negative and uninstall the game. Is it fun? it can be, but given the game is stuck behind the glorified potatoes, no.

I really wanted to like this game, and at face value, it offers a fun ww1 experience with original maps, weapons and voice lines. However, you see the cracks in the overall picture when you realize that people can kill you from nearly across the map incessantly and basically block you from spawning. If a bot sees you for more than a second, you are likely to be dead. This makes it difficult when you spawn in direct view of multiple bots because of bad map/game design. I would give this game a 2 out of 5 stars. Had some fun but overall I felt like I bought an undercooked product and I have a bad taste in my mouth.

Disappointed in this latest addition from the series. Like many others I had high hopes and expectations for Isonzo, but it left me feeling flat and underwhelmed. Yes the visuals are a steadfast improvement from its two predecessors, and the firearms are photo realistic. However that's where my endorsements for this game end. As other critical reviews have already mentioned in greater detail, spawning is most troublesome. AI is also ridiculously unbalanced. Either the bots are mindless automatons, or will one-shot kill you from a mile away behind thick smoke or dense foliage. Furthermore, they will also have a tendency to 'bottleneck' and mass congregate in various choke points on several maps - a problem I encountered first hand in Verdun. Admittedly, the bots in Isonzo are more intelligent per se this time around than those encountered in Verdun, but only marginally so. For instance, they will heal you if injured and remove barbed wire entanglements etc. That being said, compar...

Isonzo is a World War I multiplayer shooter set on the Italian Front. Unlike fast-paced shooters like Call of Duty, this game focuses on realism, teamwork, and tactical gameplay. What’s Good Historical Accuracy: Weapons, uniforms, and maps are all based on real WWI battles. Beautiful Maps: Set in the Alps, the environments are stunning and unique for a war game. Tactical Gameplay: You can build defenses, call in airstrikes, or use gas and mortars. Each class has a role, and working as a team is key. Immersive Sound: The audio really puts you in the middle of the action — from gunfire to distant explosions. What’s Not So Great Hard to Learn: New players may struggle at first. You die quickly, and rushing in alone rarely works. Small Player Base: Matches can take time to fill, especially outside of peak hours. Some Bugs and Stiff Animations: It’s not as polished as big-budget shooters.

One of my favourite FPS-series, but can be difficult for new players.
