About This Game

Sam Higgs left his hometown, and everyone he knows, behind two years ago. But the death of his best friend Nick calls the former investigative journalist back to confront the town’s troubled past—and his own. He soon becomes drawn into a dangerous web of intrigue as all is not as it seems in the small town of Basswood, West Virginia. Forced to face himself and the townsfolk, Sam struggles to balance the scales of reconciliation and his life-changing investigation. He must decide how much he’s willing to risk to uncover the mysteries of his hometown.

REMEMBER, REFLECT, REVEAL

Explore Sam’s unique and analytical ways in his expansive Mind Palace, where you can revisit his past, relive old memories, and reconstruct events. There, you can go through possible scenarios, envision how things could’ve gone, and follow the clues to your next lead. Be careful, though—the Mind Palace is a reflection of Sam’s state of mind, for better or worse.

THE TWIN MIRROR

You can also speak with your Double, who is the more social and empathic side of yourself that nobody else can see. You must navigate the dangers of Sam’s conflicted thoughts and feelings together: will your Double become a trusted confidante or an unwelcome guest?

CHOOSE YOUR PATH

In Twin Mirror, every decision you make alters the course of your investigation, as well as your relationships in Basswood. Trust others or rely only on yourself in your hunt for the truth. But no matter your choices, your story is yours. Take a look in the mirror—what will you see?

Rushed characters, rushed story, rushed ending. Dialogs are bad. The game mechanic would've been game changing if the story wasn't that fast.

I've played quite a few story based, choices matter, etc etc like this game, and even many from the same developer and this is by far the weakest I've played. It had potential, but every aspect needed much more expansion than was given. I dont even give reviews really but had to because this was just that disappointing. I'll start with the positive, as theres only one point I can make. Like the LiS series, how many of them have a special effect for the main character (reversing time, shifting timelines, etc) this one does, too, where theres a Mind Palace you can go to when you are investigating, or having a menty-b. It isnt as functional as it is in those series, where you can only use it on special occasions, but I did enjoy that aspect. My critiques. The entire game was relatively quick, and thus, did not provide many opportunities to develop feelings for any of the characters, including the main. If there was opportunity to kill off characters or allow them to die, I wouldn't ha...

The story has potential but never quite delivers. None of the characters really leave a mark, mostly because the game doesn't give you enough time or depth to care about them. The gameplay introduces an interesting idea -the Mind Palace- but the execution falls short. It's rarely clear what you're supposed to piece together, so it ends up feeling more like trial and error than actual deduction. The final reconstruction, which I believe determines the endings, feels especially random. Visually, it's solid. Voice acting and sound design are decent, but it's not enough. Can't recommend it.

Surprised by the mixed reviews. I personally thought it was great. Way more mature than the Life is Strange games. It's a bit on the short side though, especially if you only want to play it once and not get all the achievements/endings. But if you can wait for a sale I highly recommend it.

If you enjoy narrative-driven adventures with a mix of mystery, investigation, and emotional storytelling, Twin Mirror is definitely worth checking out! The atmosphere is gripping, the choices feel impactful, and the psychological elements keep you hooked until the very end. I’ve put together a full walkthrough of the game and if you want to experience the full story or see how different choices play out, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEXkUZ-nDlA If you enjoy the content, don’t forget to subscribe, like, and leave a comment. It really helps and I’d love to hear your thoughts about the game!

I liked this game, beautiful visuals and a good story. The only complaint I have is that the game is way too short to be a DON'T NOD game.
