About This Game

Expedition Agartha is a medieval extraction looter experience set in a dark fantasy world inspired by real mythology and esoterica.

Players will launch expeditions solo or with up to two other friends, and fight their way across the island. Dangerous NPCs roam the regions, stalking the land in search of treasure and blood. Enter raids, loot for resources, defeat enemies, complete quests, and extract to safety.

Legends speak of the Kingdom of Agartha, hidden to the world since time immemorial. It is said that Agartha is the birthplace of all gods and men. Empires have risen and fallen since the ages of Atlantis and Lemuria, and in all this time, the true nature of this fabled land has yet to reveal itself. The scrolls of the old scholars fade with time and history becomes but a myth. Yet time and time again, adventurers lured by the tales of immortality and paradise will risk everything to brave the dangers of the unknown. Many seek Gold, some search for God, and others fight for Glory.

Whatever the reason, most will perish. Will you survive the Expedition?

Playing this somewhat extensively ( in comparison to the majority of the bad reviews who have a grand total of less than 7 hours ) I can safely say- skip the tutorial. Skip the tutorial due to it not being an accurate reflection of the game's combat, you don't keep the items you find from it, all in all it needs work and the island training grounds can help you learn controls just fine. For whatever reason the tutorial they added when the game went F2P has terrible hitreg, bugged audio, horrible stamina consumption (3 swings from an iron sword depletes your entire stamina whereas in ACTUAL Freebooter/Mercenary expeditions 4 swings only depletes 1/4 of your entire stamina pool), and has enemies that are unkillable at the beginning point. The game could be compared more similarly to Tarkov, than Dark and Darker. Yes I know many of you are looking into this because of the other dungeon crawling game, but there is no encroaching darkness- only timed instances lasting ~30 or so minutes so...

Addicting gameplay loop of looting killing and extracting while upgrading crafting stations. That is literally the only positive to this game. As one of the only 20 people playing this shit game I have wasted far too many hours on it and put up with all the bugs that come with it. There are so many bugs it's not even worth addressing them because this game is rotten to the core and I'm sure will be abandoned like their other projects. The most inexcusable bug of being unable to do any input in certain combat situations seemingly has gotten worse with their latest "update". You have 4 options in combat to protect yourself or break somebody's combo of spamming Left click and kick until you die. You can attack back if your weapon is fast enough, you can kick them, you can try to dodge out of the way, or you can hold block (yes you might get lucky enough to parry stagger them) The major issue here is that ALL of those things are actions that can be interrupted by the continuous attack spa...

Fun game, esp for the price tag. I'm a solo player and have had a lot of fun interactions with other players. But more importantly I'm able to compete as a solo. The thing I don't like about other extraction games is the 1vX and the gunplay make you worry about such a large radius. With this, I can "play smart" and have a much better chance of success. Engage when/how I want for the most part, and if I need to run I usually can.. Really the first extraction type game I feel comfortable with. The PVE on the first map is pretty easy. Def ramps up on the 2nd and 3rd map and solo gets a little less viable, but still very fun. The combat is really skill based, so any player can be dangerous.. Solo players can also get AI to help them out. Right now they aren't the BEST ai, but they have def helped. Need to pay attention to them so just the aspect to prevent the others from being able to simply swarm you is valuable in itself to make plays. Devs are very active on discord, and quick t...

Tarkov meets Chivalry, been fun so far. The body blocking BS needs a considerable look at. Fight mechanics are clunky and miss-leading enough without having to predict hit box registry for fights and body blocking.

its not totally the games fault. the players are toxic. full teams of heavy armored guys with 2 handers just slaughtering eveyone with no gear an empty inventory for fun. people are begging for more players but the toxic people running around are making everyone new refund it. theres no way to progress when you spawn in and get cut in half before you get to loot anything. there needs to be gear score matchmakeing. a better plan would be to make people invincible when there extracting that way people can loot a little bit and escape from the roaming bands of toxic players hunting noobies for fun. as it stands I spawned in 15 game and got insta killed in all of them. i made it to my extraction one time by running straight there from spawn and 2 guys fallowed me and killed me anyways.

I have over 1000+ hours in sword fighting games such as Bannerlord, Mordhau, Chivarly, Gloria Victus, etc. The combat system is rock, paper, scissors. There is no directional attacking just attack -> kick -> block Regardless of your armor type light, medium, heavy once you swing it feels like you have an anchor attached to your body and your movement speed gets nerfed by like 100% for 3 seconds. The netcode is janky AF so it feels like ur ping is in china some fights and completely fine in others. The AI have Godmode on and don't react to staggered swings like players do. This game is absolute trash.

Extremely early access. The combat is super basic and doesn't feel fleshed out currently. only 3 attacks at this point slash heavy or kick. Most attacks is just spamming until someone drops at this point or just spamming crossbow and running backwards. A little underwhelming at this point so cant recommend until further updates are made.

This is so bad, I came here after the dark & darker testnet and it's nothing like it. Game is filled with bots, unplayable, animations are not smooth, gameplay is utter sh*t, combat is really bad, you can't loot some items. The game even still has the favicon from unreal engine. Dirty moneygrab, don't touch this with a 10 foot pole no matter what.

Spent ~40 minutes on a "freebooter" loot run. the game ran well, Graphics are pretty, game play is smooth, and the looting is engaging (though a little slow/clunky). The AI are clunky as well and can use a little work, but they certainly work well enough. I don't think there are many people playing so I didn't encounter any other players, but I think it would be awesome to find some players to engage with. No lag, no insane bugs that I've noticed, and the graphics look nice. Good first day release by my estimation. Edit* I've played much more and encountered many players at this point. I'm really enjoying it, it's tons of fun. Refreshing for an indie title that can keep my attention for long periods of time. I will say that sometimes you're striking an AI or a player but your strikes don't register, I'm not sure what causes that whether it's lag or what. Also, sometimes you block and enemy players can hit through your block. These are simple issues though as I have still won figh...
