So first I'll apologize if this review is not up to my usual par. I just completed my first play through non-stop and its 530 in the morning. So Yeah its that good. If the first book was a diamond in the rough, this book has seen that diamond freed and polished! Gone are the jarring change in scenes. Everything flows smoothly and nonstop even as the action changes gears from slowly building, to running full steam ahead, to backing off and taking time to think about whats just happened. Honestly its master craftsmanship on show here. The improvement in the quality of writing is impossible to miss. And the story line continues to be awesome. I've played through the first book at least a dozen times and still not gotten on every character route possible, but I did notice when the update for it went through two weeks back and played through with my favorite MC/LI combo for when this book came out! So glad I did! I really enjoyed how that relationship developed and how the MC and ...

Oh god the romance with Leon tore my heart out at the end, okay, I love this series to death. I already bought three copies.
Better. The strange scene skips are gone. More fights. Stats are more understandable and manageable. More romance stuff. (Kol. :3). Only thing I didn't care for were governmental stuffs -> The ones where you listen to what an Act does and you either support it or not and a variety of other stuff related to it. Mhm. Everything else? Okay. I especially liked...
Where you end up in the forest with Marcela and Dominic and both of them swear that the other one is the "bad guy". So you can either "side with one or the other" OR...! You can freaking take them both OUT! THANK YOU! I ALWAYS wanted to freaking do that! So I did. And... Then being a nice MC, I dragged myself and both of them out of the woods.
You're welcome! Also, there is no Book 3 as of now (unless it's invisible to me) and towards the end of book two we know what's about to go down. So... I wrote the events/ending to Book 3. Because of Kol. You're welcome for that as well. Will you...
A worthy successor to Keeper of the Sun and Moon, and worth multiple playthroughs. Having played it about a dozen times, at this point, each romance has its own secrets and twists, as does each background and each family situation. My personal favorite was a Kitsune with a single dad dating Seraphina, but there are so many intertwined secrets that even now, I've likely not played some of the most interesting combinations. If one has not played the first, I'd recommend buying it and playing it beforehand, as one would miss out on an enormous amount without it. In all, an excellent game, and one of the best hosted games I have played.
I liked the first game. Was it a little rough? Yeah sometimes, but never rough enough to ever really be a complaint. All of its good points far outshone its bad points. Absolutely everything has been improved here. The characters are more fleshed out, your Romance Option practically turns into a deuteragonist and you get all the possible time you could ever hope to spend with them. My chosen RO (Thalia) had a route that was so good that it actually makes you really think about spoilery past actions and whether you would want to stay with her even if you love her. My MC, a Magician who in the past game always felt like he was at a severe disadvantage, finally starts feeling actually powerful. The characterization of your MC (At least mine) was absolutely flawless. I don't know if it was all a beautiful accident or all those little personality stats that are mostly useless in these games were finally put to use by a writer who seems to have unlocked the hidden art of their true potent...
I love this game, just like it's predecessor. Can't wait for part three of the Trilogy
If you liked the first one you'll love this one.
Better than KOTSAM without a doubt. The world gets fleshed out way more and the writing quality was very good this time rather than just ok. The characters got to shine a lot more here than KOTSAM, which made the game a lot better. Romances are still kind of tacked on but I think they do their role well.
I played it through several times so I must like it. It reminds me of Wayhaven without the sex but with some romance. It is part urban fantasy like Jim Butcher's Dresden books but most of the scenes are in a hidden part of our world apparently in rural Pennsylvania. The setting reminds me of Harry Potter a lot. It is a coming of age story as our main character gets stronger as the story progresses. Like the Wayhaven books some results are based on your choice regardless of your stats. but some seem to rely on your stats. Like all of these type of stories some choices are an illusion of choice.
Honestly its damn good i dont usualy recommend games but this far exceeded my expectaions.
