About This Game

A roguelite strategic deck builder, Deepest Chamber: Resurrection challenges players to endure a series of increasingly demanding randomized descents into the murky depths of a dying city. Unlikely allies will fight at your side, from mighty warriors and powerful mages to pious healers and dark, shadowy figures… Play to your strengths, form the perfect party and venture ever-deeper into the dark in search of answers and salvation.

Card Boosting: A one-of-kind mechanic in which a card's power is enhanced when adjacent cards are played. Upgrade your deck to pack a more powerful punch and synergize your cards’ abilities with different items and mechanics to stack the odds in your favour.

It's dangerous to go alone: Choose from a vast amount of cards, items and trinkets to create your favorite builds and combos. With over 200 cards and 100 trinkets at your disposal, the strategies you can employ are virtually endless.

Easy to learn, hard to master: Face an unforgiving roguelite campaign which emphasizes replayability by employing various difficulty modifiers, diverse encounters and biomes teeming with lore-expanding secrets.

Balancing Act: The hero party system allows players to enlist three out of six possible champions at the start of their run. Each hero has cards, abilities and equipment dedicated to their class, adding an extra layer of planning and strategy with each descent.

Run for your lives: Apart from regular runs, in which heroes retain some of the loot won on previous descents, players can employ Death March mode, in which equipment stats are ignored, for an even more ruthless experience.

Ruins explorer: Uncover secrets while exploring the depths and find hidden areas, rare cards, powerful relics and elite monsters.

Initially this turn-based deck-builder was quite different from what it is now. No party to speak of, and simpler mission structure. Returning to it now, the overall feel is the same, but with a selectable party (once unlocked), good yet straightforward alchemy, meta equipment systems, and a recognizable robust mission select. The combat is quite smart, with many avenues of card strategy. If a character in the party goes down, while they are down, their specific collection of cards is unavailable for the remainder of the run; things can still be done, albeit with more difficulty. A consistent backing trait of Deepest Chamber is the animation: *very* high quality work makes the experience rewardingly gritty to behold. If you enjoy 'Slay The Spire' style contests with more serious veneers, Deepst Chamber will prove quite fun. Good to see that this one turned out so well.

Good game, but a bit too easy. I am yet too loose a single run while being on the fifth difficulty.

I really like what I have seen so far. The game is not overly complicated, but also offers a decent amount of stratergic decision making. Get it while it is on sale, guys ;-).

A good roguelite deckbuilder with some fun unique mechanics. Starts slow but ramps up at a moderate pace. Played cards boosting adjacent cards adds a fun wrinkle to choosing how to play a hand. The way that the party system interacts with buffs and blocking/taunting is another nice layer. Run variation is good. Choosing 3 of 6 characters allows you to make significant changes to your starting deck. There's a decent variety of enemies and bosses. There's tons of opportunities to alter your deck mid run - every node lets you get trinkets or add or upgrade cards. The two worst points for the game are the slow start (unlocking/leveling characters greatly enhances the game) and some mechanics are not clearly explained. However unlocks come at an okay pace and none of the mechanics are particularly tricky, so the learning/fun curve is not overly steep. If you can push through the initial sluggishness, combat and deckbuilding are a lot of fun. If you have played the best in the genre and...
