Rating : ★★★☆☆ (3/5) The main draw and purpose of Inward is to foster a habit of meditation or mindfulness - which can be easy to learn and perhaps never fully mastered but which nevertheless can be of benefit even when not using Inward directly - that is, with the fullness of the practice, you can draw on the teachings regardless of your situation or your surroundings. The guided meditation is very good, the soft sounds, accompanying music, and narration all blend together in a highly complimentary fashion. Compared to its spiritual successor, PLAYNE, Inward is different in a few key areas. PLAYNE placed a great deal of importance on consecutive days of meditation -- if you missed a day, then your streak was broken. Inward is more forgiving in terms of progressing your practice and discovering / unlocking more of your island - it mainly considers the number of days meditated - streaks, or days-meditated-in-a-row, are less central to discovery and progress.
