Absolutely incredible game they would suggest to any AFL lover as it scratches that perfect itch. However whilst I understand making a footy game on a budget is hard as it gets income I hope the ai art is replaced. Easily would change my review otherwise.

Thanks Basil, I just want to give you a bit of an insight into the Saturday afternoon team. We’re a bunch of unique individuals – Malthouse, Harley, Zempilas, McLachlan and myself. We’re gonna engage with our minds and our hearts. We’re gonna exchange ideas, thoughts and even our energy. And to speak from your heart you need to have courage. You need to be honest and authentic. We’re not always gonna get it right. And sometimes, you’re not going to agree with us. But that’s okay, because just like you we care. Just like you, we’re passionate about the game. So if you want to come along for the ride, join us on Saturday arvos, because we just love the footy.

Squiggle Football scratches some crazy itch that I didn't know could be scratched. It's a chaotic mix of sports simulation, auto-battler, and card game, that you can't help but keep playing one more game of. The game's creator is no stranger to making niche games that hook you, having created the webgame NationStates, and has astoundingly knocked it out of the park yet again.

The basis of a really fun deck-builder and a rare enjoyable AFL based game, however the AI art is horrific. I'll be happy to change this once there is more effort put in to replace the AI artwork.

I don't follow AFL but this game is great. Definitely room for improvement, feels like you kind of reach the end difficulty wise in several hours of gameplay. Endless mode doesn't seem to exponentially get harder, although magnificence levels does increase difficulty. The core gameplay systems and loop is fun it could definitely be expanded on, feels like it could be more fleshed out or expanded upon to create a game that can provided many more hours of gameplay

Incredibly fun. UI needs some work don't get me wrong but it has so much replayability. I think i have 20-30 hours in the demo just looping over and over. Feels like a genuine skill curve as well where you do a little better every time. Thank you mr nationstates

>appointed as coach of Woop Woop Warriors >coaches team to undefeated Bush League season and premiership win >offered 1-year extension >coaches team to another undefeated season and premiership win >fired by the board due to having a "horrific list profile" 10/10 most accurate AFL management sim ever Jokes aside, massive kudos to the creator (Max Barry). I never would've thought to combine a sports (let alone Aussie Rules!) management sim with deck-building mechanics like Squiggle Football does, but it just works! Combines one of my favourite game genres with one of my favourite sports - can definitely see myself sinking many hours into this.

Have you ever wanted to win Trade, Delist and Draft your way to premiership glory? well this is the game for you. A fast based game that has you deciding if you want to trade your star midfielder after a few losses for a up and coming forward who might just win you enough games to keep you in the job for another season, Can you strike gold a recruit enough superstars for a dynasty or will you have to pick the bottom of the barrel to keep your season alive. if you're not familiar with Australian Football, it doesn't matter, this game plays like Slay the Spire with a sprinkle of Football Manager spice and will have you hooked to play just one more season at the end of each run.

Okay, so - as a lover of Australian football, I'm always hankering for a good AFL game. There are some, though not so much in the full "You get to actually play AFL" variety recently - the recent AFL23 was widely panned (and yeah, it wasn't great). I really like Australian Football Coach 2024, and now this game has come along and boy, is it addictive! I finally made it to the Victorian league, but this is where I believe I will most likely lose. However, I'll just do another run after that. It's a novel idea to combine Slay The Spire and Hades with a sports management sim like this and it really works! Awesome stuff.
