About This Game

As the Mayor of Cyber City, it is up to you to take the city back from the Cyber Cult. Hoverboard/Hack/Loot/upgrade and Fight your way through the ever changing Cyber City. Collect stack-able perks that become more powerful the more you stack. Endlessly level up your weapons with stat cards that add physical and elemental damage to help you destroy the Cult through a variety of mission types.

Hack everything! Hack cars, turrets, drones, sewers, junction boxes, enemies, hack power-ups to change their properties and much more!

Stack-able perks allow you to upgrade and transform perks into more powerful versions. Stat card upgrades allow you to infinitely add elemental effects and stat alterations to your weapons. Use drone parts and research tokens for permanent unlocks

Use the speed of your hoverboard to scout out the procedurally generated cities for loot, secrets and enemy positions before planning your attack.

Your five weapons(Ranged, Melee, Thrown, Trap, Hoverboard) evolve continuously through infinite upgrade paths. Slam into enemies at high speed to do major damage and then dismount and finish them off, triple shot canon shot bullets that cause electrical damage to nearby enemies, traps that spray ice trails to freeze enemies while also creating a barrier of protection, flaming sword attacks that create a whirlwind of knock back, teleporting grenades that set enemies ablaze, etc, etc.

Upgrade your drone pal permanently. Find drone parts to install perks and stat upgrades into your drone that carry on between runs.

Test your skills in many different mission types that get more complex as you progress through the game. Choose your path through each sector while evaluating mission modifiers that will change how you play. Based on your build plan your attack and carry it out in exciting real time combat. If things go south, equip your hoverboard and escape to come back better prepared.

Go shopping, get a dinner, unlock hidden buffs or play a mini game between levels for big bonuses.

There's so much to love about this game -hidden secrets, tons of upgrades, I love getting stat boosts from the mini games -and the hoverboard is so fun to ride! So much depth to this game too! Things like plotting your path based not just on things like markets and rest stops but also on the level modifiers is really cool and you can even hack some of the upgrades to reroll their random effects if you don't like the pickup! My first few runs I didn't really care for the sword (mostly because I couldn't use it on the hoverboard) but now I'm appreciating this games stealthy side too. I also have a tendency to not use things like grenades and traps and save them and that has definitely been a mistake so far -there's plenty of em -and they help a lot! Some of this might be obvious, but I barely paid attention to the tutorial (tutorials kinda of annoy me) so it's been really fun figuring out all the nuances to the game as I go and reaalllly fun getting super op

I like Cyber Cult City. I recorded some of my progress in Cyber Cult City. Please take a look if you value a more Audio / Visual experience, as I discuss the game as I hack, slash and blast my way through it; in some semblance of style perhaps! https://youtu.be/SMqIOd8MEOs Cyber Cult City is an Indie, Action Roguelite set in a Cyberpunk city, with cyber cults! Who would have thought! Cyber Cult City is sort of a Cyberpunk take on Streets of Rogue, but faster, and neo drenched, and rocking a hover board. Neo drenched and rocking a hoverboard: you have arrived cyber fans!
A Faster, Focused, Cyberpunk Take on Streets of Rogue:
Cyber Cult City has the random, procedural generation city block ‘dungeons’ like Streets of Rogue, along with the freeform way of completing your mission in each map. You can hack cars, cyborgs, and lots of other electrical objects using battery charges to set traps for your foe, making your task of knocking them over and taking their stuff ea...

Very cool and unique game. I enjoyed the general atmosphere and the story of the Cyber Cult. Gameplay is very fun and upgrades are always interesting to get. Enemy variety is good (I really like those pesky hoverboard guys who run away). I also love how you can fly around so quickly on the hoverboard and jump over buildings. The music is also quite computery and cool sounding and those minigames are a humorous and interesting way of providing the player with a stat increase while also giving them a break. As far as issues go there weren't many, my only criticisms would be that occasionally enemies are very hard to find and also that I got stuck inside a building once by jumping on top of it (although it seems that the latter is now fixed). Overall a very nice and polished game, nice job!

Very cautious thumbs up, has a bunch of cool ideas and I think it has its merits, but it's all over the place. The UI is confusing and way too cumbersome and a lot of stuff is not properly explained and needs some experimentation. Searching through every last nook and cranny of every level to check if you haven't missed an item or upgrade can be fun at first, but becomes pretty tedious eventually. You can opt to not do that, but then you run the risk of being under powered for later. Runs can drag on quite long (due to a lot of time spent just searching through every level) and death can come pretty swiftly. At one point unexpectedly died to a specific bullet when I still had 60% hp (although it previously only dealt 10% damage if I recall correctly). The perks you can get for your weapons are pretty cool and let you become pretty overpowered. So when you got a good run going it can be fun to just stomp everything. But the drone for example just breaks too easily and is far too expen...

Challenging action roguelike that gives you options on how you want to approach objectives and combat. Classes, secrets, side quests, upgrades and lots of neon. Keanu Reaves repeating "Cyberpunk!!!" in my mind on repeat throughout most of my playthrough, YMMV.

2D Neon Action SciFi Shooter. I have enjoyed my time in this game so far. Took me a little bit to fully grasp what my mission was but after I got it I have a blast trying to get as far as I can before croaking! I enjoyed the Keyboard and Mouse controls better then using a controller. Aiming on a controller was a bit difficult. I enjoy the upgrade system and the player feels more powerful after upgrading. The game is at a good price point.
An Eye-bleeding Immersive Shooter that you NEED To See
Check out the review on 2 Headed Hero! Cyber Cult City is part action-roguelite and part mission-based imsim. Each of its procedurally generated areas represents a single cult-controlled city block, and it’s your job as the Mayor of Cyber Cult City to stomp out cultists and save the citizens. Every level is a little sandbox that provides a basic objective and then sets you loose to approach it any way you see fit. You might be tracking down hostages in one map, or destroying cloning facilities in another. And this isn’t just a run-and-gun shooter - you can get some help and hints from loyal citizens, hack cars to send them careening towards your enemies, bat bullets away with your sword, or just spend some time fooling around and landing some sick jumps on your hoverboard. Completing the objective summons the handy Mayoral helicopter, and unlocks the next map on your pa...
