About This Game

Become one with your rocket skates

Imagine having a rocket booster strapped to your hands and a hot pair of roller skates on your feed.
There is a mountain road in front of you and all you can think about is racing downhills with rocket power.
The premise might be simple but the fun is guaranteed.

Let’s mix it up

If just racing downhills with rocket power is not enough for you you can try one of many different game modes that will mix up
the experience. Here are a couple of examples:

Time to Rage
A rocket booster on one hand and a baseball bat in the other is all you need to destroy any target that comes your way.
You are the destruction!

Aim and Shoot
A rocket booster on one hand and a gun in the other - I mean what else would a crazy rocket guy bring to a mountain rally?
Be ready to aim and shoot!

Rocket Rush
What could be more awesome than rockets? Right, more rocket!
Because double the speed makes up for twice the fun!

A 20% discount allowed me to show interest in a new game of a modest studio EpiXR Games UG, which makes chic projects without extra pathos. "Quality games at a modest price" - that's about the slogan they have ;) As for the game itself - I liked almost everything. Most of all I liked the idea of the game. Our task is to fly a rocket passing checkpoints on its way. In the process of the game, as you gain skills and experience we will be available a variety of items (eg baseball bat) which adds not only interest to the game and more and additional features. It is very funny and unusual. VR support plays a key role here. In the NON-VR version you will not experience such emotions. My rating is 11/10

Perfectly adapted game for VR, helps to understand the intricacies of this system. There are elements of turning the joysticks for movement and aiming for shooting. The game lacks racing and shooting elements. I would like to add a race with weapons where you can pick up a rocket launcher and break the enemy, or something similar. If all is well with fantasy, then you can feel like a superman.

Video Review with gameplay - https://youtu.be/bZ1uakAaE7o So Roller Skates VR is basically just go along a road at high speeds using your left hand as turning with a rocket powered arm, hitting boosts, and then in later levels hitting stars with baseball bat or gun. The sense of speed is good and the core mechanic is entertaining. If your on Virtual desktop the wireless will serve you well for this title as the ability to turn with your body does feel pretty awesome. Sadly though the good ends there, the graphics aren't great and each new level just feels like the previous level with different coloured assets and screen filter. The Sound effects are either hard to hear, non existent, or glitch out and don't trigger half the time. The music isn't very good at all, and I was always hearing a clicking noise so on the audio department its a big zero... you cant even go into an options menu to turn off any of these things so your left muting the games audio and turning on spotify as yo...

Creative proposal, there are many racing games in the world, but this is the first one that I liked so much. Cars and so on are already tired of it, but here they use a different type of transport) The key feature (besides the fact that it is VR), there is no competition with opponents. You're competing with yourself, it's an arcade game where it's important not to get ahead of someone else, but to enjoy the game itself. Minus - EA

I really want to like this game, and I really hope it will get there, but it's not there yet, for two reasons I think. 1: Movement/translation. In this game you are free to move in both directions, i.e. forwards/backwards, and left/right. In contrast, roller skate, blades, ice skates, skis, snowboards, skateboards and so on all let you move easily forwards/backwards, but resist movement sideways. For this reason it feels less like skating and more like being on a tray with castors, or sliding over ball bearings. 2: Rotation/turning. The only way to turn in the game is to rotate your head, or lift your feet and turn your whole body. One of the joys of real skating/skiing etc is the way in which you can turn with minimal movement, simply by leaning, without having to lift your feet. I would love it if you could turn in the game in a similar way, by leaning your head or hands but leaving your feet planted and staying facing forward. Furthermore, there is no moment arm on the rocket...

Rocket Skates VR is a nice little game which could benefit from some adjustments and enhancements. I really like the basic idea of the game and the arcade type of gameplay. For a low price under ten bucks it is okay but I would not spend more. The biggest disappointments are very repetitive gameplay and poor sound effects. A large compliment to the developers who carefully read critics and fix problems fast! That is really appreciated. Some further suggestions to the devs that would really improve Rocket Skates VR: -Set the rocket force less sensitive. At the current state they are way too sensitive, so it feels you are gliding on slippery ice instead of rolling down a street. -It would be nice not only to drive on plain streets but also on inclined planes and sloped/steeped streets or even loopings to have some variety. -I experienced many issues with the music. While the graphics and motions are okay, fluid and smooth, the music suffers from ongoing artefacts, click noises and ...

On the whole ‘Rocket Skates VR’ is a pretty simple game. While mostly it is a racing game with a rocket in one hand using it to move forward and turn, then there are two other game modes in which you will be shooing things with a gun in the otherwise empty hand or you can even use a baseball bat, but to be honest, I just preferred the racing part. While obviously very nauseating I did also find it oddly fun and could easily see this becoming a good VR party game in which you challenge others to beat your score or time, but there is no multiplayer mode built it at the moment. For me, it all got a little too repetitive far too quickly making the £7.19 price tag seems way too high. I paid just £5.75 for this in a sale and I would say I still only just got value for money, so do try and hold off until it drops even more.

This game is the best I've ever seen. Very good management. VR and this game are combined no matter how well. I recommend this game to all people. We play with friends in VR, but it's a pity this game is a singleplayer and it seems to me that only one multiplayer is missing. Several game modes that are not much different, new ones will go well, and depending on the mode, the pace of what is happening changes slightly, which allows you to choose a comfortable pace for yourself.

This game seems to have promise. It looks pretty decent, and if you set the speed to fast, it's quite nice to zip along. The developers also seem to be pretty responsive; there was a bug that prevented me from progressing further, and they fixed it within a few days. I'd recommend this game with a caveat: It's in early access, so it definitely needs some updates and improvements. It needs some polish, and some more to do, but as long as you know that, and expect that, but just want to feel the motion of zipping along a track for a bit, this might be for you. Some improvement suggestions: - There's no way to really play this game in seated mode unless you're in a spinning chair. And if you stand, expect to spin around a lot. The controls don't let you spin; you control your movement by a rocket you're holding, but when you have to turn, there's no control for that. You have to physically turn. This will be a problem for people who have handicaps, or simply don't feel like physically ...

Nice game with interesting gameplay. Played this game not very long, but I had enough fun. Of the shortcomings, I can only single out the graphics, basically the game is very cool, but because of this, the game is not demanding on the pc. The game is simple enough for beginners, so if you just bought VR, it will suit you to understand the games of this genre
