About This Game

The Broken Dungeon calls to you, adventurer!

Broken Dungeon is a VR roguelike game featuring procedurally generated dungeon layouts, randomized loot with stacking effects, melee and magic combat, and near unlimited replayability. You can accomplish challenges to unlock new loot for future dungeon runs, try to beat your highest scores...or you can troll your friends as the Dungeon Master.

Broken Dungeon supports asymmetrical local multiplayer. While the adventurer dawns the VR headset, the Dungeon Master uses the mouse and keyboard. As the Dungeon Master, you understand the layout of the dungeon, spend mana to spawn monsters of your choice, cast dungeon wide abilities to buff your monsters or debuff the adventurer, and send out ethereal skulls to try and attack your dungeon's invader when they least expect it. Should all of your efforts fail to stop the adventurer, you are the final boss. Directly fight against the adventurer on the final dungeon floor in your most powerful demonic form.

Key Features:
- Single player VR experience with AI controlled Dungeon Master
- Asymmetrical local multiplayer where the VR player and mouse/keyboard player dawn two different roles against each other
- Dungeons procedurally generated from a library of hand-crafted dungeon chunks
- Challenges that can be completed to unlock new types of loot for your current and future dungeon runs
- Multiple magic and melee weapon types, each with their own unique playstyle
- Both the adventurer and the Dungeon Master scale in power and abilities
- Near unlimited replayability. Every dungeon run is different.

Can you conquer the Broken Dungeon, or will it conquer you?

The game is set on a sturdy foundation but will need some time to smooth out the balancing. It took me a few minutes to get use to the Casual Mobs and they increasing got harder as the dungeon went on at a nice rate, but when i finally got to the boss i got my *** pushed in as a i was horded by mobs and the boss all at once. Ill give the fact i spent almost an hour in the Dungeon and the 'Dungeon Master' gets more resources as the time goes on; like the game states, "find a balance of exploration and speed". The mobs became predictable and fairly easy to defeat without much threat of death, and expect it be similar to later Mobs. The map is extremely useful however there was a moment when the only unexplored area of the map was far beyond where i was currently at and the dread that i had to cross so far was demoralizing, whether that is a good sign or not is hard to tell. i wasn't sure if i was upset i had to fight through more mobs or the fact i was so far from my goal with nothing mo...

The game needs more lightning or some sort of lightning source to make sense of where you are going. Since there are no physics in the game you could just move your controller as fast as you want to kill the enemies. This game might be good with further development, we will see but for now its a pass.

Fun game, it's not AAA quality, but definitely not bad either, it's just alright, it's not a game to be played consistently i don't think, it's more a game you pick up when you want a challenge and put down until next time when you're finished. It plays pretty smoothly and is very well optimized, but it's not perfect, while weapons and magic feel good, i noticed that with one of the axes, when you use the special, it vanishes from your hand, and makes it so you can't do anything but cast spells, besides that, everything is pretty nice, just wish maybe there was more ranged weapons, and more unique melee weapons. Dungeons, the dungeons are all the same, just with a slightly different layout on each floor, it'd be more interesting if each floor looked and felt a bit different i feel. Do i recommend the game? Yes, definitely worth trying, just don't expect anything that will blow your mind, it's just a simple low budget dungeon crawler.
