It is hard to review a product that cannot really be classified as game but I will try my best. The idea behind the product is to simulate certain "disabilities". Each one plays out and ends once a specific time limit has been reached (30 seconds maybe?) There were a total of 4 "experiences" making this one of the shortest games/programs/experiences I own. I ran the program twice and clocked in at 0.3 hours. The good - A couple of the experiences are done very well (Tablet phone call and the brochure). - It is a great step in the right direction for more awareness. - Nicely voiced - Good (not perfect) VR graphics. The Meh - Having each "experience" timed sometimes ends them prematurely. They should have required the player to accomplish a specific task. - The eating "experience" was very poorly implemented and could be vastly improved. - The "ending" literally just turns off the lights and you're standing in the dark with only your hands visible. I honestly thought for a moment the...

About This Game
It's mid-morning, and the sun peaks through blinds into an open-plan kitchen and lounge. A darkened television reflects the rest of the room—a familiar place, a little unkempt and filled with everyday objects. What would it be like if this recognisable place suddenly became the backdrop for some very unfamiliar challenges?
Developed in partnership with support services not-for-profit Mercy Connect, this experience explores the efficacy of an immersive approach to strengthening communication and understanding between advocates and people with a disability by simulating a variety of effects that may be familiar to those with diverse and high care needs.
You'll learn through first-hand experience how many of the interactions generally taken for granted may look or feel different other people. Most importantly, you will recognise these difficulties and how disability support organisations play an important role in helping people to overcome their challenges.
By purchasing this experience, you are supporting our continued efforts to develop software that explores essential physical and mental health subject matter.

User Reviews
This is a seven minute experience that seems more like an advertisement for Mercy Connect than an attempt to actually educate anyone about intellectual disabilities. You're literally given a pamphlet for their organization as one of the last events. I wouldn't mind that at all if there weren't already an entry fee or if I felt like that did a good job of educating me about the subject, but as it is it seems tacky. Each scenario was good and I would love for other VR games/experiences to play with sensory changes the way Imercyve starts to but never fully embraces. It does dump you to a black screen at the end and it feels more like an oversight than an intentional bookend. I feel like allowing the player to explore the environment and toggle on or off the various sensory effects would give this some much-needed substance and be a better ending than what we currently have. Six bucks on sale feels like a lot for this. I do hope this developer makes a more fully-realized version of thi...
