About This Game

A twin stick shooter without the twin stick, Gunlocked is all about careful positioning and upgrade selection. Manage unique targeting systems across multiple weapons and upgrades, as you battle legions of alien ships, and hope you're strong enough to defeat the mothership! Then do it all over again with a new strategy.

You only control movement, but every weapon has its own unique targeting system that you can influence.

As a fan of both shmups and roguelikes, this game tickled my fancy in just the right way. For what I paid for it, I feel like I definitely got the good end of the bargain. If you're into this kind of thing, you really, really, can't go wrong here.

Overall it's a thumbs up for me. I enjoyed the game and played it for longer than I play a lot of other games. If I could make any change to the game it'd be the weapons. Some are fine but many are kind of crappy. Even though there are some synergies I never found any of them satisfying. I make this review not to bash the game but because I know the developer is working on Gunlocked 2 and I hope to offer feedback.

If you enjoy the whole bullet-hell genre I suggest you pick this one up. I got all of this developers games in a bundle for super cheap and I haven't been disappointed in any of his games.
