Escape from Darkness

I would definitely recommend this game. I've been playing for a few hours and the longer I play the more I'm able to figure out in term of navigating and progressing through the game successfully. If you're looking for something fun, spooky, and challenging this game is for you!

I like what this game is trying to do, but I don't like how it's done. Pros: [list] [*]The map is pretty spoopy. [*]I loved the Lovecraftian horror theme. [*]And some of the notes where cute and there was a demo man ref. [/list] Cons: [list] [*]Pc Performance for this game is a little rough. I struggled to get over 90fps on a 5950x cpu and a 4090. [*]The flashlight didn't shine far enough to see enemies before they chased. Leading to stealth not really being useful. [*]If the goal is limited visibility I think the enemies should be easier to loose. as you will run face first into fairly often. [*]I saw a maze, but it had enemies in it which could path to you. Due to limited ammo I avoided it. [*]The ammo for the gun wasn't the easiest to find. I missed the first ammo box for a few deaths. [*]There are some UI bugs, like pulling the menu up while dying leads the buttons to not be select able. [*]Some walls clip through other walls. Like the la...

Once in a while a game comes along that makes you feel smarter, stronger, and capable of things you never thought possible. Is this that game? I took a break after a little bit to use the restroom, caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and you know what? The fine lines on my face had all but disappeared. Where atop my head just a few sparse grey strands usually lay, a beautiful golden mane of thick lush hair now shone. I could scarcely believe it. I played a bit more and it was like I'd been hitting the gym all my life. Another glimpse in the mirror revealed an Adonis-like physique. Was this game to thank? I returned to play some more and suddenly my vision went blurry. I thought something was wrong, that my bodily transformation had somehow cursed my eyes. I removed my glasses and was astonished to see that my vision had become clear again. I no longer needed the old spectacles, for I now seemingly had perfect 20/20 vision. Could this game do all this? Very spooky/suspenseful! Resources collection (ammo) is infrequent enough to make it challenging but not so much as to be frustrating. Level design adds well to the atmosphere, large rural setting in the dark makes for lots of scary. Interesting to explore and try and figure out what is going on.
