Let me be the first to write a review for this game that for some reason isn't getting any attention. I'm liking this game, for the general retro feel vibe it has and for its simplicity of controls. The functionality is logical. The story is all right (as far as I've seen it yet) and the puzzles are fun. The graphics are very simple but functional. Sound is good, music is good. The developer is responsive and really wants to make his game perfect! I've helped him with fixing some bugs and grammatical/spelling errors and he's eager to get more input to improve further! I currently don't have the time to help him further, I hope others will help too, because it's certainly worth it.

Pretty neat little game. It reminds me of playing pokemon on the original gameboy somehow. Love the presentation. The simple graphics lets you imagine your own little universe as you play it.
If the screenshots don't scare you off, and you like point & click adventure games, you should definitely give this game a try. A lot of passion obviously went into SpaceNet, and there's plenty of good stuff that makes it easy to forgive its flaws, such as unremarkable, occasionally downright bad, writing and a very underwhelming ending (the game just kinda... ends, all of a sudden, without a good payoff). The strength of the game is all in its atmosphere. Once you accept and actually embrace its minimalist graphics you will find it very gratifying to fly around in your little spaceship discovering new things throughout space. The sound design and soundtrack help a lot, with several satisfying sound effects, good ambient music and a few really catchy tunes in the jukeboxes you'll find in the couple bars you'll encounter. A mechanic that I really enjoyed, and that I wish more adventure games made use of, is the Terminals, AKA computers where you can physically input certain info usi...
Barely an hour in and I am already loving SpaceNET! The game plays like a top down 2D point and click adventure game. It has a cool and easy to use terminal mechanic, very stylish atmosphere, good audio and it's a pleasure to look at too! The writing is nice and funny too, the game made me laugh quite the few times already. Easy recommend.
If you think this looks janky and unpolished... well, it's a little rough around the edges, but the gameplay itself is just great. I don't know what it is, but for some reason it really draws you in, makes you see the world of the game instead of the simple lines and shapes. Imagination at work, I guess. At its core, this is a point-and-click adventure with some open world-ness thrown into the mix. And it works! It really does. You really want to get into that building, see what's behind that door. And yes, you need to do that to complete the game. The writing is bad, but it's bad in such a way that makes my heart warm. Let me rephrase: the prose is bland but the story itself is simple and engaging. It's quite minimalistic, and makes the most of what it has. I loved this little world, I had great fun the entire time. The puzzles were simple and yet made you feel clever all the same. Remember this, when you played games to have fun? Well, this is just plain old fun. Short, satisfyi...
I really enjoyed the game! The graphics are of course a matter of taste - in it's own style, everything fits very well and gives off nice, minimalistic vibes. Sound and Music fits very well, combined with the visuals it really fits well. The game itself is set in a interesting world with many places to explode - In the beginning I thought it was about escaping the prison, but I soon found out the game offers much more than that! I enjoyed the time spent so far and it's nice to enjoy the atmosphere while trying to progress (and sometimes get a bit stuck too...)
A wonderful and authentic little Game. It's still got a few small spelling mistakes here and there, but that really doesn't affect the experience. I like the simple retro art style.... still manages to get across an atmospheric story.
The game is not bad as it looks like. Control was very difficult for me in the first moments of the game. But then you get used to it and enjoy it. Riddles make you think but all are solvable. I recommend this game
SpaceNET is something different from any other game I played before. If you like adventure games you should try it! The minimal artwork let your imagination enjoy the immersive plot, but it provides at the same time a charming framework, which fits really good with the setting. So this is a BIG UP
Welll... Its okay I guess but needs more work. Fortunately its still being updated so I will let it off with a good grade. Its not all non-linear though. The game ressembles Sundog frozen legacy in a way I think... But I guess its worth the price and its interesting. Also just goes to show Graphics aren't everything.
