About This Game

Humanity did not have time to develop technologies to conquer space before all the resources on the planet were exhausted. As a result, people were thrown back in development, and a struggle began for the ancient artifacts of the past and scarce remnants of resources.

  • The game is a 2D hardcore top-down open world sandbox where you are on your own from the start and free to do whatever you want. The game is saved automatically, so anything that happens to you will be irreversible.
  • The gameplay consists of traveling around the world in the form of a point on the global map and exploring a detailed map of the terrain on which the player controls his vehicle-crawler, giving orders to increase / decrease speed, turns, select a target for attack and interact with surrounding objects. During the journey, various events will take place with the player (an attack by pirates, cultists, monsters, a meeting with a trading caravan, a slave trader, ordinary travelers, getting into a sandstorm, and others), or the player can stop himself to explore the selected area in more detail to find loot in abandoned buildings, caves, mines, as well as for visiting cities for the purpose of repair, trade, hiring a crew, customizing a crawler or buying a new one.
  • The battles take place in the form of an artillery firefight between the crawlers, and the player does not aim independently, but only gives an order at which point or enemy to fire, aiming and shooting occurs in automatic mode. Also in the game there is a mechanic of boarding and assault on crawlers and buildings, which is an auto-fight between the player's team and the enemy's team, so the outcome of the battle depends on how well your team is equipped.
  • The player needs to monitor the state of his transport, the amount of fuel, the availability of guns, shells for it, as well as recruit new fighters to his team, buy weapons, equipment, provisions, medicines for them.
  • Most of the events, maps, enemies, loot are procedurally randomly generated, but there is also a small chance of finding unique locations with special rewards.
  • The game has a reputation system with factions, you can establish relations with one of the factions, but this may cause discontent in others. You choose with whom to be friends and with whom to quarrel.

I think the idea is nice, and also the game implementation is not bad (given the very low price). It sure lacks improvements in many areas and also a few basic items (I couldn't even find a way to exit the game or go back to starting menu, there isn't a command/key list). The main problem, even given the fair price, is that to me the game is too grindy even from the starting point; I've played maybe 6 or 7 games in 3 hours, and never managed to gain enough money to do anything before dying against a swarm of 3-4 tanks or a huge one that easily absorbed my shots before transforming my little machine in a pile of fuming scraps... After death you go back to the starting camp in an even shittier situation, stuck in a tiny machine with no weapons and no way to survive. I think the combat itself is good, landing a nice shot while evading enemy tanks is somewhat rewarding, but the cost of repairs, fuel and ammo easily eats most of the money gained, and the repetition of combats, deaths and ha...

Lot of potential here. I am happy with my purchase if development continues.

Scraplers, what is there to say about this title. I think the dev team wanted to create a steam punk pirate game. You own a landship, which have properties(guns placement and troop carrying capacity), and you raid around to get bigger a boat and have more troop capacity. The concept is interesting. Sadly, at this point in the development, there doesn't seem to be something to do with those mechanics. You can grind to get bigger boat but beyond that the world is bare. System to raise relations with NPC are in place but quests(given by settlements/city) are only of type "sell me X amount of that resources item". Encounters type rates table(fight pirates, meet merchants, etc.) don't feels right. Character gear customisation is in place but characters are bland(all same except for the look). Defensive gear items don't seems to be giving benefits(unsure), it should at least display stats of the unit(not only HP and ATT) Tank warfare on the map is like old Fallout game. You move on a...
