About This Game

▶ TANK BATTLES

Tank Squad is a tactical-combat action game, where you take command of your tank squad and lead it during tank battles of World War II. Take part in historical battles, set in linear campaigns, alone or with up to three friends. Each player can control his own tank or be a part of your tank crew.

Each battle is a separate mission in the campaign, with separate objectives that you need to achieve to win the battle. Plan ahead of your strategy and tactics, use infantry, artillery and air support when it is available. Minimize your losses, to be prepared properly for the final battle of the campaign.

▶ REPAIR TANKS

Tanks that have been damaged during the battle can be restored to serviceability during out-of-battle repairs at the repair station.

  • Repair damages taken during battle

  • Replenish tank ammo (main gun and machine guns)

Manage your soldiers. Replace the deceased, heal the wounded. Improve your crewmen skills, as they earn experience and gain levels.

▶ COOPERATE

Play out battles in co-operative mode supporting a total of 4 players. Use the tank radio (VoIP) to communicate and issue orders to coordinate the units in your squad.

When the battle is over, collect your own as well as your enemies' damaged vehicles. Work together at the repair station to get your tanks back in action faster.

Played the demo, without too many expectations, but actually was positively surprised! This game has a lot of potential, I never played anything that combines infantry and tank battles in such a manor. Don't get me wrong - it is still a tank simulation. But fighting in a world without trenched infantry and AT guns always felt unreal (for example in WoT). And in this game if you drive into entrenched infantry, your tank will propably burn because of molotov cocktails! And AT guns are extremely deadly, when you don't see them on time. You can even command your own bunch of infantry and even let them ride on your tank als a "meat shield". What I like: - combined infantry / tank battles - the possibility to call off-board support (aircraft / artillery) - realistic environments, good movement physics, interesting dynamic of battle (I have not played multiplayer yet) But also there is a lot of work to do: - overall game stability. About half of my games end in a game crash (a saving opt...

This should have never released as 1.0 in it's current state, but the devs seem aware (it seems they were pushed into an early release by their publisher) and are working to rectify it. There are some glaring issues here and it's extremely rough around the edges at the moment but there is an insane amount of potential if they keep at it. I can only recommend this if you're a tank sperg desperate for something new and you're willing to roll the dice on potential. If you're not hopelessly addicted to WW2 era armor, it would probably be in your best interest to wait it out and see what the devs come up with over the next year or so.

I can see a BIG BIG pottentional for this game. Had some problems with the contracts but I am sure the devs are working on the fixes. I hope devs never leave this game to die because thig can be a big game one day.

This game is really great, although there are still quite a few areas that need improvement. All of us, who played this game with me, really hope that players can view the specific armor values of each tank and the penetration values of the shells, just like in WarThunder. I wonder if the developers have any plans to add this system in the future?
