POST-LAUNCH ROADMAP

About the Game

An intense, round-based, zombie horror shooter by indie developers at Wales Interactive. Play solo or up-to 4-players online, facing relentless waves of Quiet Ones whilst solving mysterious missions, uncovering Easter Eggs, upgrading steampunk weapons and obtaining Miracles — a vast network of Celtic God powers.

It’s 1914, and Elisabeth Williams has conquered Sker Island, now seeking domination with a broadcast of the Siren’s Song. Arianwen, her daughter, has opposed her, and after being mysteriously awakened, you must join her mission to thwart the broadcast and save the world from descending into hell. Sker Ritual is not a direct sequel, but an FPS spin-off from the award-winning British indie horror game, Maid of Sker!

• Old-school round-based FPS action
• Play solo or up-to 4-players online
• Story continued from Maid of Sker ‘evil’ ending
• Optional objectives & hidden Easter Eggs
• Supercharged ‘Elites’ with unique abilities
• Collect and enhance 'Miracle' powers
• Explore free reward systems ‘Dread Levels’ and ‘Sker Pass’

TEAM TACTICS OR SHOOT SOLO?

Designed for playing solo, or up-to 4-players online. Short of a teammate? No worries, the intensity of Sker Island’s hordes scale to the number of players. You could always find-a-friend over on the official .

SKER ENEMIES

The Quiet Ones have returned and they are not alone. Sker Island has recruited new elites, each with a unique set of abilities that will force you to change-up your playstyle, change your location, or enlist the help of your teammates! Old enemies aren't the only ones to curse the lands of Sker, we have many more new faces — even some without faces — that want to destroy you.

IT'S A MIRACLE

Killing enemies offer a chance to drop powerful Miracles. Look out for these, you’ll need them. A Miracle drop offers a choice of three random upgradable powers that buff or alter your shooting, melee, grenade and healing. A fifth slot is reserved for your Ultimate, a chargeable powerful action to save up for those sticky situations. Each Miracle is bound to a Celtic God and come in many forms including rarity, core attributes and power.

MASKS, QUIPS AND MORE

Collect and induce fear on Sker’s inhabitants with interchangeable masks inspired by all forms of horror; folk, gothic, zombie, science fiction to the supernatural and more. Taunt your teammates with unique voice lines and switch out your dynamic menu scene environments from the Island.

THE LAUGHING POLICEMAN

Get your guns, ammo, and more at The Laughing Policeman’s booth at locations around the maps. Buy stock munitions or gamble on a randomly picked weapon with a chance of gaining a higher base level. Climb the weapon ranks with unique upgrades courtesy of The Laughing Policeman’s SUPER CHARGER for bonus buffs and visible steam-punk inspired enhancements.

Not sure which is more scary, the dark sinister zombie world, or reading Wales Interactive's terms and conditions before the game starts. Can't work out what the hype is all about, I found the game-play to be clunky, felt like my mouse inputs were being converted into d-pad movements, up down left and right, with nil flow or smoothing in between. They say I don't own the game for the tenner I spent towards it, I should have bought a egg and cress sandwich with a pack of crisps, to at least swallow the cost.

Did you enjoy COD Zombies? Then you will enjoy this game. Don't get me wrong, to say it is a one to one copy of COD Zombies would be a lie, they do their own things along the way but the gameplay loop is very familiar. Each map has it's own story quest and for the first half they even guide you to your objectives with a second quest once that first one is done that is not guided at all, it will be up to you to either leave the map once the main quest is finished (Yes there is actually and end to the maps if you choose!) or continue on with the unguided quest to learn more secrets and maybe unlock a nice super weapon. There are bosses that show up through out the duration you are on each map, they start out easy enough to take down especially with a full lobby but just like the rest of the enemies they get stronger the longer the game goes on. You can upgrade your perks making this game's version of Juggernaut give you even more bonus health, you can upgrade your weapons in a famili...

A good attempt at a horde shooter, but with how enemies scale, how samey the weapons all feel, and how obtuse some quests can be I can't recommend it. There are some cool ideas here and there, but it's not quite at a level of polish and fun for me.

Sker Ritual delivers a tense and atmospheric horror experience that masterfully blends elements of survival, exploration, and psychological suspense. Set within a dark and eerie world steeped in folklore and supernatural mystery, the game invites players to confront their fears while unraveling the secrets of a haunting ritual gone awry. From the moment you step into its unsettling environments, Sker Ritual establishes a gripping mood through a combination of haunting visuals, immersive sound design, and a narrative that slowly unfolds through cryptic clues and environmental storytelling. The core gameplay revolves around survival mechanics and strategic exploration. Players must navigate through claustrophobic, dimly lit locales, carefully managing limited resources such as light sources, stamina, and health. The game encourages a cautious, deliberate pace—rushing into unknown areas or confronting hostile entities without preparation often leads to swift consequences. This tension ...

Does a lot of things better than modern COD Zombies at a fraction of the price. There's a few minor bugs but not enough to detract from the enjoyment I've had playing this. If you like older COD Zombies, you'll probably love this. They've also got a great monetisation strategy. You won't find any paid battlepasses here or maps for $30 each. It's all included in the base game bar a few cosmetics and even then, the best ones are earned in game rather than paid. More games should be like this one.

WHAT UP GAMERS?! Yo so I bought this game a bit ago because my friend recommended it while it was on sale. Been havin a blast. It is pretty cool and if you like Black Ops Zombies or just shooters in general its a lot of fun. Some of the enemies are pretty tough and you can raise the difficulty. The story so far has been pretty cool and it provides a challenge. Definitely recommend this title.
