i can see the charm and allure of the game. When I first started, it was really fun. But, to me, it just gets really boring. The combat is quit simple and the mechanics around the combat dont really evolve. One of the core mechanics - harvesting strands - is just tedious. I am sure some people enjoy it, but it just got annoying to do. The idea is you have to engage with a boss and break of pieces of the boss in a certain order, in a certain way before you can "harvest" him. Havresting a boss basically allows you to cast a magic spell o upgrade existing spells. Problem is, game doesnt tell you what the parts of the boss needs to be destroyed first or what order, it hints, but thats it. Then the act of harvesting itself is tedious, climb onto boss while its trying to throw you around while moving/climbing around it is clunky. Just wasnt fun for me. Story and atmosphere are pretty good though. I dont strongly discourage the game, but it wasn't doing it for me. EDIT: Fixed ...

About the Game
Eternal Strands is a third-person fantasy action game where ARPG-style elemental mastery meets open-zone exploration and improvisation. Players step into a richly reactive world, not just to follow a path, but to forge one.
You play as Brynn, a young Weaver, wielding fire, ice, and kinetic magic as tools of survival, strategy, and power. Whether freezing a dragon’s wings mid-flight or tearing apart the battlefield with physics-driven chaos, every encounter demands quick thinking and creative control, not just reflex.
With full traversal freedom, dynamic environments, and colossal foes that must be scaled and outwitted, Eternal Strands invites players to explore on their terms and fight on their instincts. There are no locked builds, no scripted solutions - just raw power, a broken world, and the legend you choose to create. A game where the elements obey you, the terrain bends to your will, and every victory is entirely your own.
The World is Your Weapon
At the heart of Eternal Strands beats a revolutionary new system for gameplay interactions: heat spreads, cold chills, and real-time destruction allows for unprecedented reactivity in combat. Hurl burning tree trunks at enemies with telekinetic powers, snap nearby trees to block opposing fire, or channel raw telekinetic force to rip boulders from the ground.
Weaver of Magic
Wear the Mantle, a magical cloak that channels raw magic into raging flame, chilling ice, and telekinetic force. Combine your growing array of powers with enchanted weapons and armor crafted from slain enemies to create a custom look and style. Block incoming attacks with a wall of magical ice, lash out waves of flame from a massive two-handed blade, or toss enemies off a cliff with raw force.
Stand Against Giants
Face gigantic adversaries and defeat them through a mix of sword, spell, and mobility. Leap onto and climb their massive forms to attack from different angles. Shatter armor or slice at weak spots to diminish their protection. Use ice to pin limbs of a towering foe, arcane flames to burn their fur, or catch lobbed projectiles and turn their attacks back upon them in battles that will leave scars upon the land.
Unstable Climate to Master
Enhance the effectiveness of your ice abilities during a flash freeze to open up new paths. Use a heatwave to start a wildfire and watch it spread towards enemies as it consumes the tinder-dry trees and grass around it.
A World Rich with Secrets
Explore the wilds, the capital city of Dynevron, and the secrets beneath as every surface is climbable. Magical abilities can create bridges, burn barriers, or launch Brynn across the world. The next-generation physics system encourages and rewards player creativity in exploration as much as combat. As the Enclave’s secrets unfold, return to base camp to consult with a rich cast of characters. Each are keen to discover the mysteries of what happened to this lost bastion of power and knowledge.
A realm of mystery, opportunity, danger, and wonder: the Enclave awaits.

Dude 3090 cannot run 1080+60FPS on low settings. What is that performance? Literally cannot play.
A little bit Shadow of the Colossus, a little bit Breath of the Wild, but wholly original and loads of fun. Learning how fire, ice and telekinetic powers can be wielded on top of your weapon set to overcome all obstacles is a joy, and the cycle of going in, getting lots of nice loot and extracting back to camp makes it a good game for shorter sessions - provided you can resist the temptation to do just one more hunt.
Eternal Strands is a very competent action adventure with a few small flaws that ultimately don't detract from a really fun game, especially given that it's the first game from this studio. It's very good and, for the most part, a lot of fun. As the weaver and point Brynn, you are tasked to explore the different areas of the Enclave, a mysterious area where a magic catastrophe happened. You got help, though; many colorful characters are back in base camp, ready to help you by weaving new strands into your mantle (unlocking new magic) or crafting armor or weapons. I really liked the universe and story of Eternal Strands; while it's ultimately a straightforward story about politics and strange magical creatures, it also shows a lot of themes of personal loss and responsibility. The lore is well thought out, with plenty of codex entries to find and delve into. The characters especially were well written with good voice acting, and they all have their own personal companion quests so you...
6.5/10- Almost a keeper. Skipping past the flashy gimmick of physics-based object flinging and magic mayhem (the devs really love to showcase that), I found the game genuinely enjoyable at times. +The graphic design is clean and imaginative, and there's a magic system here that Sanderson fans, in particular, are likely to appreciate. +The combat, on the plus side, strikes a neat balance neither floaty nor weighted but satisfactory in that third-person action-game sweet spot. So not great but not bad. + The resource gathering and crafting shine here: you really get to bend materials toward particular stats, yielding gear that feels unique and meaningful a genuinely original system that stands out. -- One persistent annoyance: the camp or operator earpiece chatter. Your teammates talk to you through an earpiece piping in commentary when you're in the thick of things. It often felt more intrusive than immersive, especially when the people right in front of you remain silent. -T...
very fun game no bugs or glitches so far runs very smooth.
First things first, the game is good. The Story has an interesting premise about the weaver band and the fall of the enclave and what not. The Main NPCs in your camp all have their unique aspects to them some are more likeable or well written then others but all in all they are a good addition. The secondary NPCs feel a bit rushed and a bit more flat. The Pacing of the story was facing some issues at the end of the game where some of the games ideas felt too rushed with some of the secondary NPCs. Gameplay wise the game really shines. The Spells are fun to use, well most of them. Some of the Spells feel like they dont really have a place power wise but then again you can use them effectively to combat most enemies. Small enemies are basically no problem even on hard difficulty. The bigger ones are interesting and mostly unique. Fighting them is fun and takes an adequate amount of time to either figure out the gimmick or wittle them down. Climbing them on the other hand ...
The protagonist constantly hugs every single piece of geometry that she comes accross uncriteriously across the enviroments making movementation extremelly clunky, in the meanwhile, completely refuses to grab walls when you jump into them, this is the only game that i have played where pressing jump most of the time ends with the player lower than where they started, it is an extremelly bad movementation system. When hitting things with the melee she is sometimes just yeeted, the arrows miss 100% of the time when locking-on moving enemies, the arrows have dreadful accuracy when not doing that making ranged combat rng reliant, flying bosses are extremelly difficult to track when they spawn on maps that were not their original, and the numbers are a little off in normal difficulty, making dealing dot damage to most enemies a task that requires considerable investment, while the protagonist is constantly plagued with dot from the enviroment/enemies... Everything that is not this, is actua...
It's buggy, no game mechanics are explained to you, you have to do a lot of research on your own. If I wanted another job, I would have gotten one. The ice/fire mechanics make no sense, you can stand on water and the ground is on fire, or you can light up ice, and over time it extinguishes the fire, just because. I guess they thought that the awkward climbing mechanics, and the complete lack of any information on how to navigate certain areas wasn't challenging enough. The story, acting and everything else feels cheap as well. Well not worth the full price for this game.
I had great fun with this game. It's climbing is a bit jank, but gave it a lot of charm
