the advertisements for the game on youtube were pretty misleading and made me think the game's quality was higher than it actually was. :/

I've had fever dreams that were more comprehensible than this. 10/10 would recommend.

This game is pretty short so paired with the low price tag, if you're interested, go ahead and give it a try. As a story it's somewhat interesting, very spiritual and touches on a lot of mythology and religious beliefs I don't know shit about, but the main appeal is its sense of humor and artstyle, obviously. Npcs have some interesting flavor text, completing the entire game takes around 4-5 hours, and the second game which I haven't played yet looks amazing with an even better artstyle, so if you intend on playing the second one I'd just say go ahead and give this one a playthrough. My only complaint is that yes, the combat is largely boring, and makes me question why it's even in the game to begin with, every fight is just spamming attack or just spamming double and triple attack if you unlock them, there's like 15-20 skills in the game but only like 2 of them are even useful, very weird combat implementation, but the game is so short and the combat isn't even the point of the game, ...

Started out fun but became repetitive and boring.

Hey, don't you think it's a dream? Buzzing vision, humming lights... I found myself in a deserted town, where's everybody? Seems it's nowhere to go. After looking around, I was given a choice of several locations to start my journey: wander around the streets, go down to the town wall or start from the tower. Without thinking twice, I went to the tower, believing that I'd look around from a height to learn the surroundings and figure out where I am and what to do. When I got to it, I had no idea what was waiting for me. Like an inverted, full-on surrey, the tower pushed me down a rabbit hole into its labyrinths and rooms with incomprehensible creatures and entities perishable between these walls. Distraught or not yet, they throw at me fragments of an even more fantastic story that must be binding this place together. Most of em creatures are hostile, other try to help me for some reason. Still, I have to deal with them to get through. Where to next? I don't know. Everyone cl...

A beautiful game. Funny, I played the prequel before this but never finished it. So it was surprising to see what the characters from that game had to say in this one. Coming in from the prequel is a much different experience than playing this first. I gotta finish ST now. As a game itself, the writing is great. I don't really understand much of it let alone the messages of it all if there even is one, but I still enjoyed the comedic parts. The battles are pretty lame though, standard RPG maker stuff minus the active junk (which I never liked so this is a positive lol). One massive issue I have is how the game runs in full screen. The version of disillusion ST I played had this issue too, the game lags out when you walk around in full screen and that kinda sucks. Hope ST fixed this. What a wonderful game. Great vibe, great music and dialogue, and the graphics and style are just top notch. Very short game, but it didn't need to be long.
