I played a small / easy game for tutorial learning, and then a medium / normal game to apply it. Once I got the friend system down, I got an ally cat and over the course of the match we had two kitten allies. I don't know if I was able to make / have more than that? Opened up a large / hard map just to see if the map had anything different to its layout, but it was only bigger. The good: - The class tree and friend system really add an interesting twist to the tactics genre. - Swapping skills and leveling up the classes can really change the game up in an instant. - The tutorial was very easy to understand and follow. - $4 game The bad: - This game as it is currently bare bones. Only being able to select map sizes (small/med/large) and difficulties (easy/normal/hard) for content. - Bland map with no variations. - After winning a map, the game continues on with no further goal. Suggestions: - Add scenarios / missions - Add environmental visuals - Add map variety, perhaps "mountains"...

User Reviews
I worked with the developer on the music and sound for this game so it's fair to say I'm biased but I really love playing Kitty Tactics! It's as challenging as you want it to be, from an idle game on easy mode to a head scratcher on hard mode. The presentation is easy to understand and the focus of the game design has gone into the huge range of classes, skills the tactical options afforded by their combinations. Plus has a lot of charm with cute kitties and helpful tips to get you started on a game that has a lot of depth considering the asking price
Does this game seem simple to you? Then try not to incinerate your tactical brain cells in the fight for kitty neighborhood! Would love to have some kind of kitty campaign here, though.
Update: The previous bug that caused a crash has been very promptly fixed. The review has therefore been changed to 'Recommend' in light of the professionalism from the dev. Great game design. Quite addictive even. However, limited re-playability due to the lack of multiplayer. I hope that the dev would work on adding multiplayer (local, online).
an excellent little arena RPG. A session doesn't take long, and the build paths are interesting. I wish closing out a game you're clearly winning was easier, but it's not a hard enough knock to make this anything other than an enthusiastic recommend.
I've played this game for about an hour now, and so far i find it a fun, light-hearted, yet challenging game to play. I enjoy the many classes (and the hats that go with them) and the friends system (turns out getting laid really is the key to succes). I do hope the devs keep up the good work, and maybe add some more flavor elements (terrain elements like fences, garbage cans, or maybe even environmental hazards like bad-tempered dogs would be nice). Overall great little game so far, great potential for further improvements. PS: i've read that other players have reported frequent crashes, but so far i haven't encountered any. Most likely these got patched out before i started playing.
It's a pretty good game, it certainly takes a minute to understand the game and all its aspects but its very interesting nonetheless, do be warned it tends to crash if you play on easy difficulty but that's the only issue I've had so far. Great game to have open in another browser while playing something else as well.
cute and dramatic
I liked it :) The Final Fantasy-esque job system and kitty relationships add a lot of depth to a simple premise; capture the most territory to win. Relationships are the most important factor in long-term maintenance of your kitty dynasty. Allying and defending a kitty in the early game will reward you with a powerful ally as they unlock new classes and abilities. The union may even produce a kitten that fights alongside its parents. If I were to offer one critique, nurturing positive relationships is the only way to benefit from the system. I'd feel more like a schemer if I could turn enemies against each other on a whim.
Got really mad cuz I couldn't understand how the game works... Not made for slow ppl :C
